"I see that you still keep your clinic up," (Y/N) smiled melancholically as she walked past some of the rooms housing sick patients on her way with Tamayo to Tamayo's private office.

"Yes," Tamayo responded whilst walking into her office, gesturing for her to sit while she did the same. "I always make time to treat the ill."

As (Y/N) sat down, her smile faded when facing Tamayo, knowing she would have to ask the hardest of questions now that she knew it was necessary. Letting out a small sigh, wondering only briefly how Yushiro was faring with Sanemi and Obanai, she then righted her attention to the task at hand. Now that she was with Tamayo again, knowing everything she did now, she had to push forward.

"Tamayo-sama... did you know what Kenji-san did at that temple so long ago?" She finally started.

Tamayo's eyes widened.

Just her reaction alone was her answer.

(Y/N) glanced back down.

"I..." Tamayo trailed off before clearing her throat and straightening her back, regaining her composure that was momentarily taken from her once more. "I did not mean to keep it a secret from you, but when you had returned with seemingly no memory, Kenji-san had asked myself and Yushiro not to tell you. He... believed it would be safer if you didn't know. Everything he does is for you." Silence lingered after her confession before she began again, "How... did you come to remember this?"

"I met with the previous Water Hashira, Urokodaki Sakonji," she murmured softly. "He is the one who took away my memory in the first place via hypnosis. And he... is the one who returned it to me."

"A Water Hashira?" Tamayo blinked. "How did you even come across him?"

"It's a long story," (Y/N) exhaled, wondering where to even begin. "But, to shorten it, I was given sanctuary by the Head of the Demon Slayer Corps, Ubuyashiki Kagaya, and it was there that I met the current Water Hashira, Tomioka Giyu. He recognized me, and he is the one who accompanied me to Sakonji-san's residence."

"I see..." Tamayo lowered her gaze.

"I also met Kamado Tanjiro," she continued, watching as Tamayo looked back up once again, familiarity flickering in her gaze.

"You... have?"

"Yes," she nodded. "He is as kind as his heart is pure. I'm sure you already know this, though."

"Yes," Tamayo smiled gently, her expression fading into one of remembrance. "When Kibutsuji's minions found us, Tanjiro-san and Nezuko-san bravely defended us until the other two demons were slain. I don't think myself or Yushiro would be alive if it wasn't for him. He even agreed to help me with the task of obtaining more of Kibutsuji's blood, but... it's been so long that I feared he might have passed on."
