Everything was falling apart.

Matteo's rage, Sabrina's heartbreak, and even Val's silent disappointment—it was all too much.

I felt it in every heavy breath, in the way my chest constricted as Sabrina walked away from me.

How the hell could I fix this?

How could I make her see that I loved her more than anything, that I'd do anything for her?

I ran after her again, my footsteps echoing in the night. "Sabrina, wait!" I called, my voice cracking. She didn't stop.

I hurried in front of her, blocking her path, and gently lifted her chin with my finger.

She was crying, but the anger in her eyes hit me harder than anything else could.

Sabrina wasn't just hurt—she was furious. And she had every right to be.

Her fists slammed against my chest, weak but filled with frustration. "Why, Julian? Why did you lie to me?!" she yelled, her voice cracking as the tears spilled over.

"Sabrina, please—" I started, my voice soft, but she cut me off with another hit.

"Don't 'please' me! I was getting tortured, Julian! Tortured because I wouldn't tell them a single thing about you!" Her voice cracked, and she wiped her tears angrily.

"While I was chained up, bruised, and bleeding, where were you? What were you doing?" She pushed me back with trembling hands, her chest heaving as she sobbed.

I didn't move, letting her vent it all out. I deserved this—I deserved worse.

"You don't get to say you love me and then do things like this! You don't get to act like everything's fine when you've been sneaking around with her behind my back!"

Her voice cracked again, and her hands fell to her sides as she sobbed harder, like the anger had drained out of her and left only the pain.

"Sabrina," I said firmly, stepping closer. "You're right. I lied. I didn't tell you about Camilla because I thought I was protecting you—I see now that I was just hurting you instead. I was wrong."

She shook her head, wiping at her tears angrily. "You think saying that fixes anything? I begged you to let me in, Julian. I begged you to trust me, and you still don't. And now—" Her voice broke, and she looked away, her shoulders shaking.

I reached out slowly, my hands hovering just above her arms. "I know it doesn't fix it," I said, keeping my tone steady. "I'm not going to make excuses. I'm going to fix this, Sab. I don't care how long it takes—I'll prove to you that you can trust me again."

She stared at me, her lip trembling, and for a moment, I thought she might push me away again.

But then her knees buckled, and she let out a broken sob.
