We are almost there, and suddenly I remember about Eddie. I casually ask, "Do you both know Eddie from college?" They look at each other for a second and think, then Guy snaps back from thinking and says, "Oh yeah, he is a junior. The guy is pretty cool. How do you know him though?"

I say, well he was raised in the orphanage where Rachel was raised too so we became pretty close after I started dating her. They both nod and Henry says, "It is so weird how everything and everyone around you is somehow related to Rachel. I guess she is the type to attract people."

Valerie just looks at him, a deep longing stare, making it seem like she wanted to tell something yet she couldn't. I mean, the girl just found out who her biological mother was so I'd cut her some slack.

"Finally! I can see the lake from here. It'll take us like five minutes to reach the spot," I say. Then I continue, "Well, what is the time?" Ginny replies, "Its like a quarter to ten. Pretty good driving I must say, you got us here in a span less than two hours."

I just chuckle and say, "When you've lived with a passenger princess who also loves punctuality, you get accustomed to it." She gives a small giggle and says, "The lake looks so much more beautiful up close."

I agree and soon come to a halt and park my car. I park it under a tree so that it doesn't get heated due to the sun but the climate is slightly moody so not a problem I guess. "I love the climate here, so fresh and just welcoming," Valerie says.

Henry and Guy go around to the back of the car to get some things. I stretch myself near the lake, it was kind of suffocating in there, not going to lie at all. So beautiful, little fish jumping into the water back and forth. The smell of plants, lichens and algae covered rocks makes me feel warm even though the climate is cool.

Then I hear some clanking noises behind me, so I look around to see Henry and Guy setting up a table and three chairs. Two other folded chairs were kept aside. I go towards them and say, "Wow, you guys are so prepared, now I am excited to record today."

We sit down, all of us around with a small mic towards me. I look at Ginny and Valerie and say, "They don't know what happened, how will they understand what is going on now?"

Henry looks at me with the same look of confusion and says, "Well, Guy you should catch them up on the story. Aiden and I have some business to attend to. After finishing call us, we'll be back."

Guy just shrugs and agrees to it. He starts telling the girls the story while Henry asks me to follow him to the car. He takes two fishing rods and a bucket, and starts to walk towards the lake. I follow him and he hands me a rod and says, "We'll catch some fish for lunch. I already have some sandwiches planned but something warm at times like this is always nice."

I just listen and throw the hook inside the lake. We both keep waiting until a fish starts to tug on Henry's rod. I immediately drop my rod and help him to pull it up onto the ground. It was heavy, kind of weird that big fish are found in peaceful lakes like these. As long as they aren't poisonous, I am good.

After a long good pull, the fish comes out, quite big. The Guy calls us to say, "Yeah, they're all caught up. We can continue."

The both of us lay the fish in the bucket and bring it back to the table. I show them the fish and say, "Look what Hen pulled us for lunch?"
Guy looks me straight in the eyes and says, "Sit down, we have already lost a lot of time, it is 10:30 already."

I just mble under my breath, "Okay mom," which he probably heard but didnt react to. Well I start speaking after checking the mic, "So where should I start from? Guy, you forgot to tell me."

He glares and says, "You met the Lopez family." Valerie's ears perk up and I say, "Well yeah, uhm, so Sasha, Nora, and Violet. I still don't understand how you were born Valerie because you look like you're 17, but when I met your mothers 10 years ago, you weren't there. We'll come back to it a little later.

So, the next day we went to their house to continue with the investigation. We went like at 7 in the morning since they both were working mothers. We weren't really welcomed happily since it was that early, but we kind of did barge in saying that it'd take only 10 minutes.

We asked them the usual questions about what they did on Halloween and what they were doing at the time of murder. Sasha said that on Halloween the both of them went to work as usual, came back around 8 at night. They weren't aware that the party which took place was hosted by Violet who only invited like 10 friends because they wanted to keep it limited.

At like 11:45 pm they woke up to the loud music and looked outside their window to find disco lights coming out of a house with loud music. They checked on Violet to find her no where in her room. Panicked Sasha and Nora ran down to the party house suspecting that their kid was partying late at night with who knows whom.

Apparently on their way to the place, they met Raquel on the front yard of the house.

Raquel was an unemployed, poor brat who used to be rich but lost all of her money because her millionare dad was found to be a fraud. So she ended up in our street, stuck up and hated by practically everyone.

She was quite an alcoholic and loved partying, whether it was a children's or adult's party, she crashed it. Obviously she wasn't invited to the party as it was only for some of Violet's close friends. She wasn't a danger or anything like that, but just a nuisance I guess. She hindered everyone's livelyhood.

Sasha got even more angry that a 'drunk bitch' was at her teen's party. So they fought a little and Sasha and Nora ended up dragging Violet out of that party by her ear.

And that was the end of it. She also said that she dragged her back home at 12:30 a.m.

So, what we got from this was that, Sasha and Nora entered the house arguing with their kid for sometime and brought her back home after the murder took place.

They wouldn't have noticed the murder because it was night time, there were no streetlights and the party house was the last one in the entire row which made it the farthest from the entrance. Moreover the screams and killing was over by that time, so they didn't even notice the damn body lying dead.

They could have lied but, first of all why would they and second of all, they knew that if they got caught they would probably receive punishment in some way or the other. Their financial situation was already not good, so I'm pretty sure they understood the depth of the situation."

Valerie looked at me, she was partially in a trance almost drooling, she looks interested.

"Yeah my parents know when to lie and when not to, plus there isn't any proof that they did lie. I mean no one can prove them wrong. They had a perfect alibi, everyone on your street had a perfect alibi," Valerie says with a lot of thought.

I mean the entire reason why this was a cold case was because everyone had a perfect alibi, we kept on hitting dead ends.
