I Promise (A Yeinkook Fanfic) [On Hiatus]

It's finally the day all the kids have waited for. It's the half-year special. Banners were already placed in front of school. The auditorium has already filled with chairs and balloons. Props has already been placed in the backstage. It was hectic backstage as kids prepare for the performance. Yein walks with her now recovered leg to the backstage and checks the time. 4.05, her watch reads. The show will start at 6 PM with the principal's speech and some opening acts

"Yein!" She hears a voice calling for her name. She tilts her head and sees Soojeong walking towards her with a big smile on her face. The elder female hugs her tightly before releasing her from the hug

"So glad you came!" She said as she put her hands on Yein's sides. Yein smiles sweetly before all her friends approach both of them. They start to shower Yein with hugs welcoming her back

"We missed you.. You don't know how different it is without you.." Kei said sincerely and Yein just laugh knowing that the eonnis actually miss her

"Sorry.. By the way yeay my leg has recovered!" She said as she kicks her leg up in joy. Her friend just laughs at her action. Oh how they miss her silly behavior around them

"Hey" they suddenly hear a husky voice from the side. They look where the voice came from and sees Jungkook walking to them

"Good thing you came.. Now I don't have to perform alone.." He said straight to the point and Yein just rolls her eyes

"Oh yeah.. Since we have only learnt half of the dance let's continue it now.." He said as he remembered that they're preparation has not yet completed. Mijoo then suddenly takes her bag and signaling her to go. She just nods and they walk to the school dance studio. He closes the door and walks to the girl who is just standing there waiting for him. He pulls out his phone from the pocket and shows her the video. They watch it closely and starts to practice it over and over again. As much as they are tired of dancing and hearing the song over and over again, they don't have time to rest because the will be performing it today. When the part where they have to put their face close to each other, their hearts starts to beat fast as their faces were just centimeters away from each other. Jungkook then breaths and Yein could fell his warm breath on her face. Suddenly the door opens which makes both of them startles and he quickly takes a step back looking at the person

"Yein, Jungkook.. They said you guys have to go to the make up room to get ready.." Jimin said feeling awkward at what he just saw. He quickly walks away to get out of the awkward situation going on. Yein looks at her watch and it's already 5.40. She doesn't realise they've been practicing for an hour more as she focuse so much to make the performance perfect. They walk out of the room with awkwardness surrounding them. Fortunately the make up room is not that far away from the dance studio so they can seperate faster. She sits down on one of the make up chair and a young adult female approaches her

"After practicing am I right?" She asks as she wipes of the sweat from Yein's face. She nods awkwardly feeling ashame. The make up artist starts to put some cream on Yein's face and then continue and put some powder on her face. Yein is not use of using thick make up. She usually just use some lip tint and lip balm to school. She doesn't like to put too much of make up to school. After about 20 minutes, she heard the show's starting and the make up artist still have some things to finish up

"I'm sorry.. The show's starting already.." The make up artist apologize to her as she put some finishing touch to her cheek

"It's ok.. I came here late.." She said not wanting the make up artist to feel bad. After a few minutes she's finally done with her hair and make up. She looks at herself in the mirror and sees her all dolled up face. She never use thick make up before so she really doesn't know what she's supposed to look like. But she feels, pretty. She thanks the elder woman and bows to her. She then heads to the dressing room and good thing nobody's there so she hurriedly takes her clothes in the rack and wears them in a flash. She walks out to the audience seat and searches for her friend. She could feel eyes are on her. She could hear some people are whispering
