"We need to be ready for it when they come after us." Simon's sudden and incredibly weird statement made Annabelle look over her shoulder at him from her spot in front of the mirror- next to Kelly, who arched a brow. "What are ya talkin' about?"
Simon stared at them all seriously. "The other people who got caught up in the storm." He explained vaugely. "Why would they come after us?" Curtis asked skeptically. The shorter man gave him a strange look, like it should be common knowledge why the other people who got messed up by the storm would be coming after them. "Because that's what people do." He replied simply, blinking at the incredulous looks from the other five misfits.
"Yeah. Well, if they do, we'll jus' tell 'em it was all your fault." Nathan grinned, raising his brows a bit. Annabelle scoffed softly, glancing at him as she re-applied her lipgloss. "Don't be a dick." She shot him a nasty side-glance and he frowned. She heard his mouth open but he cut himself off rather quickly as he opened his locker. She shifted on her feet a bit to see what he was looking at better.
Taped inside his locker door was Tony's missing poster. The thing that seemed to be haunting her everytime she went outside with it's big red MISSING plastered on the top. Over Tony's picture, the words 'I KNOW' were written in big black letters. The sight made her heart drop. "You know that... note you found in your locker?" Nathan spoke up slowly, gaining the attention of the others. "I think it was talkin' about the probation worker." He stepped away from the metal door to let the others, who were gathering around to see what he was going on about, see.
"Shit." She heard someone mutter.
Fucking hell, they couldn't just get one normal day, could they? "...well. They've still got no proof." She attempted to assure the others. It was weak and she knew it, but it was the best she could do. Kelly huffed, shaking her head before she picked up her bag from her locker and walked off.
It was quiet the next morning as the six gathered around in the dimlt lit locker room. Other than Alisha, who was off in front of the mirror and fussing over her appearance.
"Someone knows we killed him." Kelly started quietly.
"D'you think it could be Sally?" Simon offered. It was a decent guess, but how the hell would she know? "Whose Sally?" Curtis questioned, crossing his arms over his chest as his face wrinkled in confusion. Simon blinked at him. "The probation worker." Nathan grinned at that. "Oooh, Sally. Why d'you know her name?" He accused playfully.
"She told us."
"Well, your a twat, because Sally didn't show up until the day after we killed the other probation worker. I s'pose you know his name too?"
"....Tony."
Nathan let out an amused scoft. "Do you love him?" Simon made a face and Annabelle sighed deeply. Kelly spoke up before anyone else could. "He's right. She wasn' 'ere." She pointed out and Nathan grinned, gesturing to her appreciatively with a hand before setting it back on his hip. Simon merely frowned. "If I'm invisible I can see if anyone puts anythin' else in our lockers." He offered softly and got a few nods of approval.
Curtis looked to Alisha after confirming that it sounded like a good plan, and the girl gave him a cheeky grin. "You all right with that, yeah?" He questioned. She nodded. "Works for me." She shot Curtis a suggestive look that made Annabelle roll her eyes. She liked Alisha and all, but Jesus. She didn't seem to know when to stop.
Curtis bit his lip and gave a small nod. "All right, then. Turn invisible." He demanded and all eyes turned to Simon, who was standing awkwardly with his hands stuck in his pockets. "...I can't do it when everyone's watching me." He said slowly, glancing around. He looked uncomfortable. Nathan snorted. "So, I guess it's like pissin' at a urinal if you've got a tiny cock."
