The next day had come, and Nathan was desperately trying to think of what his power could be. He, Annabelle and Curtis were on the roof of the community center. The athlete was ignoring the two of them as he laid on one of the few sofas on the roof, arm slung over his eyes. "So- how'd you figure out yours anyway?" The curly haired man questioned, raising his brows as he took a long drag from the cigarette between his fingers.
Annabelle gave a small shrug, reaching out and taking the small stick once he was done inhaling and bringing it to her own lips. "I didn't, really," She murmured, her eyes slipping shut as she let the smoke fill her lungs. "It just kinda happened, y'know? I was gettin' ready for work and then..." She gave a vauge gesture with her hands before handing the cigarette back. "Wall was gone. Could see right into my neighbors flat."
He grinned a little at that. "What were they doin'?" He waggled his thick brows suggestively, and despite how much she wanted to be irritated, she felt her lips quirking up into a smirk. "Nothin'. He wasn't home. Just saw all the beer cans and cigs layin' around." She shook her head a bit with a soft chuckle.
Nathan mock pouted at the lack of juicy details on her neighbors love life he so clearly wanted, but he shook it off rather quickly. "Where do yeh work anyway?" He asked suddenly and Annabelle glanced at him.
"Ah... that little restaurant down on Curly. I'm a chef." She shrugged, her thin fingers moving to fiddle with her sleeves and tug them down. She avoided Nathan's gaze though she could practically feel the look on his face. "You should invite me over sometime. Make me somethin' good." She didn't miss the suggestive undertone in his voice and she lifted her eyes to give him a dry look. Though again, she couldn't stop the damn amusement that tugged at the corners of her lips and made her want to laugh.
"God, shut up." She shook her head a little which just made Nathan's stupid cocky grin grow. He handed off the cigarette one more time before he suddenly stood. "I've got an idea about my power." He announced and Annabelle caught Curtis lifting his arm slightly to peek at the curly haired man. "Please don't." He sighed, sounding rather exhausted.
Nathan ignored him, brushing off his jumpsuit a bit before he started to scramble around looking for something. He ran around the roof, huffing to himself about God knows what before he basically launched himself into the rubbish bin. "Come on... come on, baby, there's gotta be... aha!" With a stupidly proud grin he stood back up, holding up an empty beer bottle. Annabelle took that as her sign to stop paying attention and she fished her iPod and headphones out of her pocket and stuck one in while Nathan started setting the bottle up and plopped himself into the big leather chair that was up there for whatever reason.
Annabelle became too focused on the music blasting in her ear to care about the gross grunting noises the curly-haired boy beside her was making. She glanced up as she heard the metal door to the roof slam open and a rather panicked looking Simon rushed out. He hadn't even changed into his jumpsuit yet. "We've got a problem." He announced.
Nathan angrily waved a hand at him. "Would you shut up? I nearly had it!" He scolded, and Simon's brow furrowed. "What's he doing?" Curtis didn't bother to lift his head as he responded. "He's tryin' to smash the bottle with his mind."
He did sit up, however as Nathan's grunting got a little louder, brows knitting together in disgust. "I think he's goin' to shit himself." He remarked. It certainly seemed applicable. Nathan's face was scrunched up and the noises he was making were disgusting. After another second, he gave up, kicking the bottle off the table it was on and standing, making Simon startle as he shouted. "Oh, bullshit!" Simon gave the other man a funny look before he repeated himself. "We've got a problem."
Annabelle opened her mouth to ask what the hell he was talking about, but Nathan cut her off. "I've got a power, I know it! I can feel it in my balls!" He exclaimed, grabbing at his crotch which caused Annabelle to groan.
