the brush moved on the canvas, leaving behind a trace of the liquid that should get rid of the damage.felix was concentrated, earphones in his ears, glasses on his face, his hand steady as ever.
this was a really important step, and he was not going to mess it up.jisung was in the storage, looking for a piece of painting that was going to be taken away today, by the pretty guy named lee minho.
ever since jisung found out his lovebird's name, he couldn't stop thinking about it.walking behind the corner, he finally found the piece he was supposed to prepare for the drive.
the only problem was that it was too high.a little annoyed, jisung made his way back to the main door of the storage. he kept a ladder there.
taking the thing he came for, jisung walked back to where the painting was, putting the ladder perfectly, before going up and finally taking the painting, carefully going down.
he made his way to a huge table, putting the painting down on it, before taking the things he will need.
whenever a painting was being transferred, it was necessary to protect it. because if he didn't do the important steps, the painting could get damaged.
and that would be a disaster.
especially if it was in perfect condition before.and it was jisung's job to make sure the painting will be safe trough the ride.
just as jisung finished securing the painting, a familiar boy made his way towards jisung.
"good morning."
minho said with a small, shy smile."oh. hello."
jisung said, returning the smile.
"the painting is prepared, so we can carry it into the car if you want.""okay."
minho nodded, walking to jisung's side, looking at the covered up and protected piece of painting.
he couldn't see what was on it tho.
"is the painting pretty?"jisung nodded.
"I think so. my boss apparently doesn't if he's sending it away. it's been laying in this storage for a while.""why does this even happen? you know, putting the pieces into a storage, instead of putting all of them in the gallery. isn't it a shame to keep them hidden?"
minho asked."well, I think it's a shame too, but that's just how it works. we have some not famous pieces in the gallery, and when my boss buys a painting that's more beautiful, has bigger meaning, or is more famous, the painting takes the place of the not so famous piece. when that happens, they are put in here, and my boss tries to find someone who would be interested in buying the painting."
jisung explained.
"some of the paintings I have here have been her for a year already. it's a shame, really.""how many paintings are here?"
minho asked, looking around."457, exactly."
jisung answered.
"well, 456 now.""457? that's a lot."
minho said, amused."why do you think we have so many shelves?"
jisung chuckled."makes sense."
minho nodded."it's kinda big here, I think that if you put a person who never was here in the middle, it would take them a while to find the way out."
he said with a small chuckle, before looking at the covered up painting.
"it's really pretty, it deserves a new home."minho smiled.
"the gallery I'm taking it to takes care of their paintings, so don't worry.""I'm not worried. every owner of a gallery should take an amazing care of their paintings."
jisung said.felix moved his chair slightly, taking off his earphones when he saw jisung and minho standing together by a table.
with a satisfied smirk, he kept watching them."that's true."
minho nodded.
"every gallery needs someone like you."jisung was a little surprised, his eyes widening a bit.
"I-I meant a good storage guy, who takes care of the pieces, you know?"
minho said, a little shy."y-yeah."
jisung nodded.
"thank you."felix chuckled quietly.
"unbelievable."
he whispered to himself."so...uhm...should we carry it to the car?"
jisung asked.minho nodded.
"yeah."
he said, helping jisung lifting it up from the table and they started to carry it towards the back door, where minho's car was parked.felix continued watching them, until they disappeared from his sight.
with a small chuckle, he put his earphones back, going back to the painting.
watching jisung and minho felt like watching some kdrama, quite literally.
it was crazy.felix was kind of amused actually.
they were so shy about each other it hurt.
it was obvious they had a crush on each other, even a blind person could see that.
they didn't know it tho, both of them too shy to make a first move.but at the same time...felix couldn't really blame them, because he and hyunjin were the same at the start.
introduced by a mutual friend, they had eyes only for each other from the start.
someone would call it a love at first glance.they also had their little shy cringy phase at the start, and honestly, it was the phase felix was enjoying the most. the amount of butterflies he had in his stomach when he just laid eyes on hyunjin was crazy.
he smiled a little, remembering all of these thing.
but his smile immediately faded when he remembered all of the bad memories that covered the good ones.what he did, was terrible.
and he knew it.
but he would do it all over again if he had to.closing his eyes, he took a deep breath, before taking the brush again, continuing his work.
