unfortunately, weekends aren't free when you own a gallery. but at the other hand, hyunjin didn't have to be there so early, since they opened at 12 during the weekends.

he walked downstairs, already ready to leave. felix didn't go with him on weekends, because felix, in fact, had the weekends free, like a normal person.
so quickly taking an apple and a water bottle from the fridge, hyunjin made his way to the car, driving away to the gallery.

felix woke up around noon.
he was finally able to rest well after the whole week of working on the painting. both his eyes and hands were really thankful.

after washing himself, wearing something comfortable but not exactly his pajamas and brushing his teeth, felix made his way downstairs.

"what I'm going to do the entire day tho?"
he asked himself, before looking around.

honestly, he had never really looked around this place in more detail. the thought never really crossed his mind. he had to admit that hyunjin knew what he was doing, because the aesthetics of this room alone were just screaming 'im rich and very sophisticated', just the vibes hyunjin himself was giving now.

felix walked into the kitchen and he put a water into the kettle before turning it on, preparing a cup for the tea he was about to make to himself, before he went to explore around the house a bit.
the thought was a little strange. he has been here for a month already, and he didn't actually see the whole house.

well, one specific room at least.
hyunjin's atelier.

at first, felix just stood in front of the door separating the living room and the atelier itself, wondering if this was a good idea. in a way, it felt like he was invading hyunjin's privacy. but at the other hand, was it really that big of a deal? I mean, he will just look at the paintings there and leave, no biggie.

so after a huge consideration of every single thought, felix opened the door, his jaw dropping when he saw the inside.
because if the living room was beautiful, this atelier was magical.

there was a huge glass wall that let the natural sunlight shine and brighten the room, while a huge stand was in the left side of the room. felix could only guess that it was filled with colors and paints, possibly the brushes as well. maybe even the clean canvases.

in the middle of the room was a painting easel with a little cabinet on the wheels next to it, on top of it laid a stand with a few brushes, his palette and a few colors that he was probably using at the moment. on the painting easel itself was a canvas. felix walked to look at what hyunjin was painting at the moment, his eyes widening when he saw a beautiful meadow during the sunset. on the left side were a silhouettes of two people, laying on the grass, kissing.

hyunjin was a very talented painter, felix knew that all too well. but he haven't seen any of his pieces for a while now, and he had to admit that, even tho he didn't think it could be even possible, hyunjin got better at painting. felix was honestly very happy for him, because he knew how much hyunjin loved art, and just the thought that he spend three years doing something that he was passionate about made felix feel a bit warmer inside.

giving a last look to the place, he walked out, closing the door, not noticing a beautiful painting that was hanged in the corner. because if he did, he would have realized that the angel on the said painting looked a little too much like him.

hyunjin opened the door of the house, walking inside and closing it behind him with a small sigh.
he was finally home.

taking off his shoes and his coat, he walked further inside, noticing felix sitting on the couch, looking at the movie played in the TV. he went and sat on the couch as well, felix not giving him a single glance.

for a while, they were surrounded by silence, before felix spoke up.
"so, how was it at the gallery?"

"good, relaxing even. we get a lot of visitors on the weekends, so I like walking around and look at people's reactions."
hyunjin admitted.

"have you ever thought about putting your own paintings into the gallery?"
felix asked.
"the meadow you're painting is really pretty, and I think that-"

"the meadow I'm painting?"
hyunjin was a bit confused.
"ohh, you mean the one in my atelier?"

"to be 100% honest I did snoop around the house and I was in your atelier, yes."
felix admitted with a sigh, suddenly feeling bad.

"hey, I don't mind, it's not like I told you to stay away from it."
hyunjin chuckled.
"but to answer your question, no, I haven't thought about it. honestly there is already a little space for other paintings and things, so why would I replace the beautiful renaissance paintings with mine?"

"because they are breathtaking."
felix said.

hyunjin smiled.
"I'm glad you think so."

"you know I do."
felix said quietly.

hyunjin looked at the TV.
"I actually sold some of my paintings for a good amount of money. it helped me to get on my feet, and together with my normal pay, I was able to buy the gallery that I own now. so in a way, I did start with my paintings."
he said, before looking back at felix.
"what about you? how was your first time repairing a painting?"

"oh it was hell."
felix chuckled.
"I was super nervous I would mess it up, and my hands were trembling. the lady I was doing it for wasn't exactly nice either. entitled bitch."

hyunjin snorted.
"how did it end up?"

"oh I repaired it very well, cuz im awesome."
felix said proudly.

"hell yeah you are."
hyunjin chuckled, making felix chuckle as well.

it felt like a piece of the thick wall they had between each other fell down at that moment.
