"you know, I haven't heard from lix in a while."
jisung said, putting a painting on a table.
"the last time we talked was like a month ago, when he congratulated me and minho on our two month anniversary."

"yeah, he's been busy."
hyunjin said.
"he's apparently working on a huge painting that needs a lot of attention. he's been repairing it day and night, I'm just hoping that he's taking care of himself."

even tho hyunjin and felix promised to visit each other a lot, they in fact, never did.
when hyunjin finally had time, felix was in another country, repairing a painting, and when felix finally had time to stop by, there was some important event or important thing hyunjin had to be at as the owner of the gallery.

"I miss him."
jisung said.
"the storage suddenly got all quiet and too big for one person."

hyunjin pressed his lips into a thin line.
"yeah, i miss him too."

"will he come to visit soon?"
jisung asked.
"have you planned something?"

"we wanted to, but apparently he has so much work with this painting he's working on now and he doesn't have the time at the moment."
hyunjin said.

jisung gave him a small smile.
"it's gonna be your birthday soon, and felix wouldn't leave you all alone on your day. maybe he's working so much now so he would have time to visit you then."

hyunjin chuckled.
"you never know with felix. he's so unpredictable."

"you guys are still talking tho, right?"
jisung asked, his tone suddenly turning nervous.

"of course, every single day."
hyunjin said.
"these past few days it has been a bit shorter conversations, but I can't blame him, he has a lot of work now."

jisung smiled.
"I'm gonna go grab us coffee, and in the meantime you start getting the painting ready for the transport, how's that?"

"how about we switched? minho will come soon and I don't have to see your cheesy interactions."
hyunjin said, already starting to walk away.
he could hear jisung yelling after him, but he just ignored him with a smile.

turning a page, hyunjin started reading a new sentence. he always found comfort in books, and every day since Felix left, he has been reading poetry.
it's like five in the afternoon, and he planned to finish this book by the end of the day.

suddenly, there was a knock on the door.
with a little confused face, hyunjin put his book down and made his way towards the door.
his eyes widened when he saw felix standing there, his usual smile on his face.

"hello stranger."
felix said, his smile never wavering.

"holy shit."
hyunjin said, before immediately pulling Felix in for a hug.
"you're here?!"

felix chuckled.
"in the flesh."

"what happened?"
hyunjin pulled away, keeping his hands on Felix's waist.
"I thought you had some important thing you had to be at."

"the important thing is this, silly."
felix smiled.
"I wanted to surprise you."

"i missed you so much."
hyunjin said, before putting his hands on felix's cheeks and pulling him in for a kiss.
"i still can't believe you're here."

"and do you want to know the best part?"
felix asked.
"I'm not leaving anywhere."

"what do you mean?"
hyunjin furrowed his eyebrows.

"I had a big talk with chan, and he agreed to let me transfer here to Korea."
felix said, excited.
"I will still fly to other countries when it will be needed, but for the most part, I will be located in Korea."

hyunjin's eyes widened, and when he looked down, he noticed the two suitcases laying by Felix's feet.
he was so excited to see his boyfriend that he didn't even notice them at first.
"so...does this mean that..."

"I'm back."
felix said.
"completely."

hyunjin sweared he could cry as he pulled felix in for another kiss, full of emotions.
after so many months of being apart, this was the best thing that could happen.

when the two of them were finally able to broke apart, hyunjin helped felix in with the suitcases, and right after the door was closed, hyunjin picked felix up, spinning him around.

"you have no idea how long I waited to do this."
hyunjin said, putting the laughing felix back down, his hands still around felix.
"I'm so happy you're back, and that you're here with me."

"and I forever will."
felix said.
"our farewell years ago wasn't exactly the greatest, but I promise you that I will stay with you and love you until the day I take my last breath."

hyunjin smiled, pulling felix in for a hug.
"I promise the same to you. there were enough bad things, let's enjoy the good ones."

"yeah, I like that."
felix smiled.

the future was theirs.
only theirs.
and nothing could come between them ever again.
