hyunjin and jisung were woken up by a doctor and a nurse walking inside the room.
they almost shot up from their chairs when they noticed felix was awake.

"mr. lee, how are you feeling?"
the doctor asked, checking felix's temperature and looking at the machine showing his heartbeat.

"tired."
felix answered truthfully.

"I'm not surprised. It's really early in the morning, so get some more sleep if you can, and we will run all of the needed tests when you wake up again?"
the doctor said.

felix nodded slowly, and after checking if everything was okay with the machines, the doctor and the nurse made their way out.

right after the door closed, jisung made his way to felix, gently pulling him in for a hug.
"I'm so glad you're okay!"

felix smiled slightly, wrapping his arms around jisung as well, still out of strength.

hyunjin was still sitting in the chair, just looking at them with a small smile.
"how are you feeling? in general."

felix pulled away from jisung, looking at hyunjin.
"uhm...yeah, im okay. like I said, tired, but overall, okay."

"I'm so relieved that nothing truly bad happened to you. I mean, you fainting is bad, but-"
jisung rambled, but was cut off by felix.

"I know what you mean."
felix smiled.
"what time is it?"

"that's actually a good question. the doctor said it was early in the morning, but didn't say what time is it specifically."
hyunjin said, taking out his phone from his pocket.
"oh, it's four am."

"four am? damn."
jisung said, yawning.
"my back hurts. imma go grab a coffee into the vending machine, do you want one as well?"
he asked, looking at hyunjin.

hyunjin shook his head.
"no. thanks for asking tho."

jisung nodded, before he made his way out of the room, leaving hyunjin and felix alone.
for a while, there was just a rather unpleasant silence, until felix spoke.

"I'm sorry."
he said.
"you had to be here the entire night. you couldn't get any sleep on that chair."

hyunjin smiled slightly.
"how many times did we went trough this exact same thing lix?"

felix didn't say anything, just looked down at his hands, playing with his fingers.

hyunjin sighed.
"look, this is exactly why I want you to take care of yourself properly. I can't even count how many times did I sleep on this exact same chair. I hate seeing you like this, I really do."
he said.

felix looked at him.
"you're wearing my necklace, aren't you?"

hyunjin was taken off guard by this question, before he looked on his chest, seeing that the necklace was showing. with a sigh, he put it behind his shirt, where it always was.
"I found it the day you left. under the bathroom cabinet."
he clarified.
"and I do not think that I have been very secretive about the fact that I still have feelings for you."

felix exhaled trough his nostrils.
"why didn't you tell me that you found it? I have been here for a while already."

"does it really matter?"
hyunjin asked.
"besides, you didn't notice the necklace when we..."

felix cleared his throat, looking away.
"I...did, but I forgot. I remembered when I saw the necklace on your chest."
he said, before looking back at hyunjin.
"I just...you know that I really like the necklace. I was looking for it for days when I lost it."

hyunjin nodded.
"I'm very much aware."

"then...why didn't you gave it back to me?"
felix asked.

hyunjin kept looking at him for a while, before opening his mouth to speak.
"when you left, it was the only thing you left behind. the only thing that was the evidence you were even in my life. it means as much to me as it does to you."
he said, before reaching behind his neck.
"but it's yours, rightfully, so-"

"keep it."
felix cut him off.

hyunjin slowly put his hands down, clearly confused.

"from what you're saying that necklace has much more meaning to you than to me."
felix said simply.
"you found it. it's yours."

"but-"
hyunjin was about to say something, when the door of the room opened, jisung making his way inside with his fresh coffee.

"y'all the prices are kinda insane not gonna lie."
he said, taking a seat on the chair he was sleeping on just ten minutes ago.
"I had no idea it was so pricy here."

"it's not just here, it's definitely in every hospital. the coffee would be even more pricy if you bought it from the actual cafeteria."
hyunjin said, leaning against his chair.

"damn."
jisung whispered, taking a sip.
"I mean, it's not that bad."

"they have a good coffee here."
felix nodded.
"even when it's from the vending machine."

"wait, how do you know how it tastes?"
jisung asked.

"you really think this is my first time in this hospital or something?"
felix chuckled, before looking around.
"I'm thirsty."

"should I go get you a water? the cafeteria won't be opened now, but next to the coffee vending machine should be a one with drinks and snacks right?"
hyunjin asked, looking at jisung.

jisung nodded.
"yeah, there is one."

hyunjin looked at felix.
"you want one then?"
he asked sweetly.

felix smiled slightly.
"it would be nice, thank you."

hyunjin nodded, before getting up and making his way out of the room, closing the door behind him.

"do you want a sip of my coffee before he comes back?"
jisung asked, offering his coffee to felix.

"thank you, but I really need a water. thank you for the offer tho."
felix declined.

"just so you know, you're going on lunches with me from now on."
jisung said.
"and you can't say no."

felix sighed.
"I figured you would say that."

"damn right. I'm not letting my best friend fainting on me ever again."
jisung said with a small pout.

"your...your best friend?"
felix said.

"you don't-"

"no, no, no, that's not it, it's just that...I never really had a...BEST friend."
felix said, a little embarrassed.

jisung's smile widened.
"you have one now, lix."
he said.
"and I'm not going anywhere anytime soon."
