Kuvira and Naga headed toward the lab to meet the team, who was once again scrambling to find someone who had gone missing.
Lin grabbed her by the arm, "You had one job, Kuvira. One job. Watch and protect Asami!"
Kuvira roughly pulled her arm away, "Naga will track her, it's what Asami wanted."
"She told you that?" Lin snapped.
Kuvira looked away, "It was more of, a silent understanding."
Lin's eye twitched, "A silent, understanding. . ."
"Unbelievable," Mako face palmed, shaking his head.
"And you just, let her leave?" Opal asked in disbelief.
Kuvira glared at her adoptive sister, "Yes, Opal, I let her leave because she was going to go anyway. The woman who broke in didn't know I was outside the room and she clearly doesn't know about Naga's tracking capabilities. So I'd like to get a move on while the scent is still fresh if you all don't mind."
"Okay, okay," Opal held her hands up.
"These devices are complete, we will power them up and I'll find out where Korra and Asami are in no time," Varrick announced proudly.
"Good," Lin responded, "My full security force will be here to guard the lab while I'm gone, don't screw this up, Varrick."
Varrick put a hand over his chest, "That really hurts chief. . ."
Lin ignored him, "We will follow behind Kuvira. For now, Mako and Bolin, go with her. Opal, you head out with the rest of the airbenders, and Varrick, you call Tenzin once the location is found." Lin instructed, taking her leave quickly.
Kuvira climbed on top of Naga, looking back at the boys in wait, "You coming or what?"
Mako grunted while Bolin rushed over, excited to be going on another mission, "Let operation Korrasami begin!"
Mako rolled his eyes, "Korrasami?"
"Yeah, you're right, it does sound a little funny, huh?" Bolin blushed.
Kuvira made a face at them, "Children."
Korra got more and more nervous the closer Sun and his crew came to completing their machine. It wasn't as big as Kuvira's was, but it was still big and they had the spirit vine energy to use yet, so she knew it would be powerful and dangerous.
A few hours had passed and Asami was still knocked out cold, sleeping away like a baby. Korra figured she'd gotten at least enough rest to be ready to try and escape with her. Sun was still down twenty men, the rest of his guys were working endlessly. Most of them looked like they hadn't fought a day in their lives. If anything, they all seemed like lab rats and regular benders and people. He must have sent his best out to intercept Korra's friends, which currently, was great for her, she knows they can hold their own.
Korra shook Asami gently, "Asami."
Asami moaned lightly, stirring a bit, but not waking up. Korra grew impatient, shaking her a little harder, "Asami!" She whisper-yelled.
Asami slowly opened her eyes, looking up at the Avatar in annoyance, making Korra more irritated.
"Oh, I'm sorry, did I wake you? I'm just trying to save our lives," Korra snapped, keeping her voice low.
Asami sat up slowly, ignoring Korra's attitude, looking over at Sun who wasn't paying them any mind at all, "He seems very. . . normal."
"He is," Korra stated, eyeing the exit she planned to use, "I don't think any of these people truly even know what they're doing or what's at stake. All they know is their grief. I don't want to hurt them, I just want to get out of here for now and take care of this when we regroup with the others. Are you good?"
