Korra was pacing, not able to keep her excitement at bay, "Asami! Are you ready yet?"

"I told you I'm packing extra supplies! Be patient!" Asami called down from upstairs.

Korra groaned out loud, pouting at her fiances response, huffing lightly. She and Asami planned this trip into the new portal weeks ago and they had everything they needed for any kind of scenario, weather, or problems.

Korra was a little nervous for her safety, considering no one has entered the portal since it opened. She tried discussing with Asami that she should head in first, like a trial run, but Asami got upset, telling Korra that where she goes, Asami would follow.

Asami reminded her time and time again that she could take care of herself and Korra knew that, but she will always worry.

"Okay, I'm ready!" Asami came down the stairs with what looked to be, everything

Korra shook her head, "You are going to get very tired with all that Asami. Do you really need that much?"

Asami scoffed, "I'll be fine and yes, I need all of this. What if something happens and I need my tools, or we need more supplies? I am very prepared this time. Besides, once we make camp somewhere, it'll all be set down anyway."

"I guess you're right," Korra said.

Asami smirked, "I'm always right. Also, once we make camp, there are several things I want to do. . . to you."

Korra blushed furiously, heat consuming every cell within her, "Y-yeah?"

Asami nodded, a sexy grin appearing on her face, "Yes."

Korra grew worried again, "What if something does happen? What if this is a mistake?"

Asami sighed, gripping the Avatar's face, "Korra, we will be fine. You're the Avatar, and I am a fighting CEO, engineer and inventor, we will be fine."

Korra nodded, trying to push away the nerves, "Okay."

"Hey," Asami gave her an encouraging smile, "We will be fine."

Korra grimaced.

Asami rolled her eyes, "I will be fine, Korra. Do you undertand?"

Korra looked away, but Asami pulled her closer using the straps of her backpack, kissing her jaw, trailing her lips up right next to the Avatar's ear, making Korra shiver with excitement.

"Do you understand?" Asami asked, her lips brushing Korra's skin lightly.

Nodding breathlessly, Korra managed a weak, "Yes," before Asami giggled, taking her hand, leading her out of the mansion.

"And when we get back, we'll start building our house," Asami told her.

Korra smiled, "I liked the sound of that. Our house."

Naga waited patiently, ready to take her companions to their destination, their friends waiting outside as well to say goodbye before they head out.

Mako, Bolin and Kuvira stood in wait, before they each embraced. Korra and Kuvira have grown very close and although Asami does consider her a friend and has forgiven her, she still has some ground to cover in that area. Regardless, she tentatively hugged Kuvira, being the one to make the first move, forever grateful that she saved Korra's life.

"You guys have everything you need?" Mako asked, looking over their supplies with scrutinizing eyes.

"Yes, Mako," Asami laughed.

"How long will you be gone, so I know the timeline," He asked in a serious tone.

"Until we decide to come back," Korra answered, knowing it would make him upset.

"Korra," He warned.

"We should be back in about two months, Mako. We have a lot of supplies and will probably acquire a lot more. Crime should be a breeze with all the new mecha-watchers installed. If there are any issues. . . well, figure it out." Asami said.

"I'm going to miss you guys!" Bolin hugged them again, before they got on Naga.

"We will miss you too! Take care!" Korra bid them a final goodbye and with a final wave, they took off.

It didn't take long to reach the cave, Korra sent Naga home, not wanting to take her in case the environment didn't agree with her appetite and her thick coat. They ventured through the rocky tunnels, before arriving at the portal.

Asami saw it and her jaw dropped in wonder, "It's so beautiful."

Korra watched the way her eyes lit up and smiled, "Yes, it is."

Both Korra and Asami were excited to see the world that waits on the other side of the starry entrance, hoping that their time on the other side would be fun and thrilling.

Asami took a step and Korra grabbed her hand, "Wait."

Asami turned and Korra watched the portal in worry, "Are you sure you want to do this? I can always go ahead and scout the area before-"

Asami cut her off with a kiss, pulling away with a grin, "We are doing this together, just you and me."

Korra relaxed at her bravery, nodding, "Together."

Hand in hand, the couple walked through the portal into a new world of adventure, ready to find what waits before them, ready to make new memories and have new experiences.

As long as they were together, they could do anything.
