Korra and Asami arrived at the police station later that day, proceeding to tell Lin everything, including going to warn the air temple. The more they explained, the more furious she got.

"Right when you think we might have peace. . . it's always something," She ran a hand down her face.

"Tell me about it," Korra muttered, shifting uneasily at the pain radiating throughout her body, which didn't go unnoticed by Asami who wished more than anything at this moment that she was a healer too.

Asami watched Korra worriedly but the avatar lifted her lips slightly giving her hand a gentle squeeze in reassurance before letting go.

"One of the blueprints I presented to President Moon was a project called Mecha-watchers. I'm still working on the prototypes, but they'll use geographic imagery to spot crime, use facial recognition for criminals and alarms will sound whenever that happens during high-level danger, alerting the police and the public." Asami told her.

Korra's eyebrows shot up, knowing of her projects but just now hearing the extent of what they are. She was impressed.

"How long until the prototypes are complete?" Lin asked.

"Well, after today, I can speed up the process and try for three weeks. I'll need a little help though, Varrick would be my best bet." Asami said in a grumpy tone. She and Varrick are friends, sort of, but he can be so annoying.

"I'll get word to him, and speak to his wife as well," Lin told her with a nod. "I'll have guards stationed outside your home as well as wherever you plan to work, just let me know."

Korra tensed, "I'll be with her, that won't be necessary."

Lin frowned, "Keep your ego out of this avatar, the more protection for Asami and you, the better. We can't risk anyone taking her and using her knowledge to their advantage. The decision has been made. When you leave for the air temple, you can go alone but while you're in this city, Asami will have guards."

Korra's jaw clenched and Asami reached for her hand but Korra walked away toward one of the windows, angry. Asami sighed, looking back at Lin.

Lin shrugged, "She'll get over it."

"We're planning to get Mako here as well, Bolin is still in the city," Asami told Lin.

Lin nodded, "I'll take care of it. Just. . ." Lin glanced at the pouting avatar, rolling her eyes, "Take care of her, don't let her do anything reckless."

Asami raised a brow and Lin chuckled, "That's a near impossible task."

"That's why I'm not doing it," With that, she walked off.

Once Korra and Asami arrived back home, with guards stationed outside as promised, Korra immediately went in the direction of the training room but Asami grabbed her hand, pulling her back.

"Asami, let me go," Korra told her firmly but Asami held on tighter.

"Korra, you can't really be that upset," Asami said.

"She doesn't think I can protect you."

Asami sighed, "She never said that, but you can't be with me all the time, especially if I'll be working on this project. You know it's a smart idea."

Korra huffed, crossing her arms.

"I know you can protect me, I have no doubts about that and neither does Lin. It's just a precaution."

"A precaution just in case the avatar fails, I know," Korra continued on her way to the training room.

Asami shook her head, walking to her lab silently, continuing her project immediately having no time for her girlfriends pouting today. She wishes she knew what these benders were planning so she could invent accordingly but the mecha-watchers are all she has so far. They'll need more intel somehow. When Mako gets here he'll be able to help with that, but that won't be for a few more days or so.
