Fanny was all on her own, just as she wanted to be.
Her team was a complete and utter trainwreck; iance was some strange, outlandish amalgamation of two and a half teams, and it *really* shows. The group had no direction, no overall trajectory, and no purpose. The same could be said about pretty much any other team in the Battle for Dream Island, sure, but it somehow seemed to be *more* applicable to that particular bunch. Pencil and her 'alliance' wanted to do this, Snowball wanted to do that, and Flower wanted to do some third thing that nobody really cared about. This resulted in them not really going anywhere, not really demonstrating their worth, their effectiveness as a team.
And the electric fan *hated* that.
She knew a sinking ship when she saw it, and this team was *definitely* it. It seemed like only a matter of time until this whole thing collapsed in on itself, devolving into the usual bickering between contestants. They all wanted to win the BFDI or whatever, but how powerful of a motivation was that, *really*? There's only one of it, from what they've seen, and given the track record of previous seasons, it doesn't seem too likely that they're gonna share. That, in addition to the already clashing personalities between the members from the very start, proved to be a recipe for nothing else but *disaster*.
But the circulator of air was stuck with iance for the time being, forced to watch as everyone pointed fingers at each other, blaming anyone but themselves for their own catastrophes. And what was she to do about it? She's known for having that... *reputation* among others; she always made her thoughts and opinions known, which troubled most considering that her insights usually ran contrary to the status quo. Also, she didn't have any arms. If anyone wanted her to stop being a nuisance (to them, anyway), there was no shortage of options on how they could go about that. It was a situation that had no easy way out, that was only gonna get worse before it had any hope of getting better.
And, of course, she *hated* that sort of thing.
The only thing that mechanical mover of molecules could do was wait. Bide her time. Hope that she could manage to survive long enough to see the merge, when she would no longer have to deal with iance and their shenanigans ever again. But how does she go about doing that? There was gonna be a time when her team was up for elimination, and she was probably the most at risk for getting the boot. Given the history of the Battle for Dream Island, it's fair to speculate that the viewers and voters lack the ability to dissect one's character and agenda, the motive behind their actions, and simply vote them off if they were being mean towards their favorites. If she kept her cool, if she raised her voice only if necessary, she could *maybe* have a chance. But wait: voters also eliminate contestants if they're boring, if they don't add much to the plate. Act too much, and she was in danger; but act too *little*, and she was in yet more danger. It was a fine game, a delicate tightrope. How much could she do before crossing a line? What sorts of tiny little facets did she have to think about and consider? Why does she need to
"Hoi, Fanny!"
Bubble approached on her own volition, despite the sheer distance between the two of them, despite having been clear about wanting to largely be alone. "...Oi know you're busy with some... stuff... But can we just tolk for a moment? You know, as teammoites?" The electrical device sighed. "What exactly are we doing right now?" She'd rhetorically ask. "Just go ahead."
"Well, Oi've noticed just how angry you've been recently." The soap bubble continued. "How you keep soiying that you hoite this and that, how you argue with everyone else..." She'd frown. "Oi was just wondering if-"
"I *thought* you'd be able to understand." The one that pushed air around interjected. "You always seemed to be the only sane one around here." "Well, bubbles don't have broins." The one you could see right through commented. "Oi moight not be able to really 'get' things." The electric fan sighed. "Well, I wouldn't be complaining so much if there wasn't anything *to* complain about." She'd explain. "I mean, just look at you! You can get killed with a single poke! What're you even *doing* around here?" "Well, Oi want to win the BFDI." Bubble answered. "Just like everyone else." "And why do you feel the need to do *that*?" The air circulator continued. "Well, everyone alwois thinks of me as being so fragoile, that Oi could pop at any moment, just like you said!" The sphere answered. "Oi wanna be able to prove moiself; if Oi can win the BFDI, then-" "You *shouldn't* have to do that. That's just ridiculous!" The device interrupted. "*None* of us have to do *any* of this! Why are we being forced to do whatever those numbers have to say? Why do our lives depend on the whims of some faceless, heartless viewers? It's insane! I *HATE* this!"
