Things could be much, *much* better for Match.
She was someone that *really* emphasized her need for Break Time, and after all that she'd suffered through, after she'd gone through so much for so many years, she really needed a *lot* of it. The problems started from the very first season, the first ever Battle for Dream Island. For starters, she didn't even get to win the island in question, let alone see it. For months and months she'd be stuck inside that cruel metal box, forced to do nothing except ponder about all the mistakes that led her to this very moment, as well as being forced to deal with the *others*, those that were even *less* deserving to win than she was. Though she was fortunately allowed into the island by Firey, they would never be able to actually enjoy it; Leafy would steal it, it would disappear, and what was supposed to be a time of celebration ended up being a time of exhaustion. Then a second season was started, and the faceless, careless, *soulless* viewers decided that the matchstick wasn't gonna be able to join in. She was thus thrown into that box of pain yet again, and that was thrown into *another* box, really bringing the point home that she wasn't gonna get any sort of respect or rest from all this horrific nonsense. Once again, she'd be forced to share her space with all sorts of nobodies, and now there were even *more* of them, packing them like sardines. By the time she was finally, graciously allowed to exit that metal prison, the Battle for Dream Island was long over. She would emerge from the Tiny Loser Chamber into a world that was completely different from the one she knew, the one she fought in. Yoyle City was the worst of both worlds, really: none of the fun and competition of the Battle for Dream Island, but all of the pain and suffering that came with its divisions and grudges. Eventually, *eventually*, they were able to get over it and return to a semblance of normalcy, but that's when *Four* appeared and ruined everything once more, forcing everyone into yet another Battle for Dream Island. Something like that would be tolerable enough at first glance; this *was* what Match signed up for, after all. But then Pencil, her one and only friend, the one she could rely on, ended up becoming the first boot. Once more she felt all alone, at the helm (so she claimed) of a team that hated her guts. It was a tough pill to swallow, but eventually she'd manage to steel her resolve and toughen up, becoming the strong-willed leader that the writing utensil once was. But Match was *absolutely* no Pencil; her sudden shift in attitude would cause her relationship with her team to further strain, even between her and her friends, her alliance members. And just as soon as she realized her folly, her mistake, she would end up being eliminated as well, thrown into the Eternal Algebra Class Withfour. She would be with Pence-Pence once again, sure, but that didn't change the fact that they were *here*. In this strange realm where Four was the one calling the shots, forcing them to do a bunch of boring math for the rest of eternity. That wouldn't do, of course, and so they would try to escape, no matter what it took to see the light of day. And they *really* committed to it; years upon years would be spent desperately trying to claw their way out, trying to emerge from this infernal realm with even the slightest shred of sanity left. They would eventually manage it... only to immediately be thrown into *another* prison as soon as they got out. After yet another escape attempt, they were given yet *another* chance at redemption; just *one* of them would get to break free from this pain and join another competition, one that would hopefully not be as painful as the last one. Even after unknown meddling caused there to be *two* new recruits instead of just one... Match just wouldn't make the cut. For her efforts, she'd be unceremoniously thrown away, both metaphorically and literally. A great storm would take her away into the unknown once more, far away from all she knew. *Most* of what she knew, anyway; fortunately for her, reality decided to throw her a bone for once, and she'd find out that she wasn't the only one sent away here. Though she was once again in a completely alien and unfamiliar environment, at the very least she'd have her friends by her side, helping one another get over whatever may come their way.
