Back at the apartment, Sara stepped inside to find Taylor sitting on the couch with her arms crossed, a look of concern on her face. 'SARA!' Taylor exclaimed, standing up. 'Where were you? I've been calling you for ages.'
Sara flinched, realizing she had completely forgotten to let her know about the dinner. 'Sorry!...I-I was out with the Seventeen members. I had dinner with them.' Taylor stayed there, in shock. 'You, Sara, had dinner with SEVENTEEN?!'
Sara who had been lounging on the other couch started laughing. ' You look too much like your mom when you act like this' Taylor rolled her eyes but smiled. 'I was worried, okay? But now I'm just-- oh my god-- did anything happen? Was it awkward?'
'It wasn't awkward at all,' Sara said, a slight blush creeping up her neck. 'It was... actually really fun.' 'Well duh,' Taylor teased 'I told you, you are great, you just need to--'
'I didn't think anything would happen between us,' Sara interrupted, her voice tinged with disbelief. 'I don't even know how they invited me, really.' Sara snorted. 'Oh there's definitely something going on with you two Sara.'
Sara's heart dropped at the thought. Definitely something? It couldn't be. She never had anyone confess their feelings to her, and guys like Chan? They didn't like girls like her. No matter how much Taylor insisted on her beauty, Sara couldn't believe it.
'I'm just... not that person,' Sara muttered, putting her long hair over her shoulder as if hiding behind it. 'I'm not... pretty enough for someone like him.' Taylor's expression softened, and she crossed the room to sit next to her best friend. 'You are more than enough, Sara, you have no idea how perfect you are.' Sara smiled weakly, her thoughts swirling.
'Maybe I'm not that bad huh?' She said, but deep down, she couldn't help but feel like it would always be just a fantasy.
