The next morning the villa was bathed in sunlight, casting soft golden hues across the lush landscape. Breakfast was laid out by the poolside, and the members were starting to gather around, looking like they had a little too much fun the night before. As Sara walked out, she noticed Chan sitting at the table, his eyes glanced up from his plate as she sat down next to Taylor.
But there was something in his gaze--something sharp, like he had something in his mind. Cheol came over, a plate in hand, and sat next to Sara. The two of them started talking quietly, reminiscing about the night before. Sara was still feeling the lightness from her conversation with Cheol, but then Chan spoke up.
"Hey, what were you two doing last night? I saw you guys outside, it was pretty late" Chan asked, trying to sound nonchalant , but Sara noticed the edge in his voice. 'You were up too?' Said Seungcheol surprised. Sara blinked, unsure what to make of his sudden interest and terrified to think he might have heard their conversation. She then tried to lighten up the mood with a joke "Aye, don't be so nosy, Chan"
Taylor immediately burst into laughter but Chan didn't seem to find it as funny. His jaw tightened, and there was an uncomfortable silence that lingered a bit too long. Cheol, sensing the shift in the atmosphere quickly tried to ease the tension. "We were just talking about life," he said with a chuckle. "And I learned some interesting things about Sara. She's full of surprises.'
Sara smiled, feeling relieved that Cheol was trying to smooth things over. But even though the tension seemed to dissipate, Chan's expression remained unreadable. He was quiet, his eyes still flickering back to Sara every now and then, and thought something was bothering him.
Later that morning, everyone was still going on about their activities in the villa, lounging by the pool, playing games, and enjoying the sunshine. Sara found herself walking over to Chan, who was sitting by the pool, deep in thought. She was hesitant, unsure if it was the right time, but she wanted to check up on him.
"Hey" she said softly, her voice breaking the silence between them. "Are you okay?" Chan looked up at her, his face hardening for a moment . "Why are you asking? Don't be so nosy, Sara"
His words stung more than she expected, and she felt her chest tighten. She had meant well, her intention was never to make him feel bad, she was just trying to make sure he was alright , but now she felt foolish. 'I didn't mean it that way' she said quickly, trying to explain herself. "I just...forget it, I wanted to make sure you were doing okay" His face softened, but didn't respond.
Sara defeated, started to turn to leave, feeling a mix of sadness and embarrassment, but before she could go very far, Chan's hand shot out, grabbing her wrist gently. "Wait," he said, his voice much quieter. "I'm sorry. I've been a bit... off today." Sara stopped, looking at him curiously "Why? What's wrong?"
Chan hesitated, clearly fighting with himself before he finally blurted out,"I guess... I felt a little jealous last night. You and Hyung looked... close. And I don't know why it bothered me so much."
Sara blinked, completely caught off guard. "Jealous? Chan, we were just talking. Plus Seungcheol is like a big brother to me." Chan let out a breath, his face reddening as he chuckled awkwardly, "I know. But I don't know.... I guess I just got... jealous."
Sara stared at him, completely clueless. "Don't worry, I won't take Seungcheol away from you, that's not my intention." Chan eyes widened, and then he bust out laughing, his tension easing as he realized how genuinely oblivious she was to the situation. "You're impossible." He said, still chuckling as she stood there, completely confused.

Later that evening, Sara and Taylor were sitting in their shared room in the villa, talking about everything that had happened in just a day and a half.
"Sara, I seriously can't believe all that happened in the last 36 hours," Taylor said, eyes wide with disbelief. "You played volleyball like a pro, you sang karaoke with the members, you had that conversation with S.coups and now Dino's acting all weird?? I feel like theres something more about him you are not telling me. This is like a whirlwind romance without the romance part!"
Sara let out a nervous laugh. "I don't know. I'm just...I'm just trying to have fun and be myself. All this... it's so new to me." Taylor grinned. "Well, whatever it is, I'm here for it! You're not getting away that easy." Sara smiled, but deep down, she knew she couldn't ignore the undercurrent tension between her and Chan any longer. Something was changing and she wasn't sure what to make of it.
"Enough about me, I saw you hanging out a lot with Joshua, do you have anything to say about that?" Sara asked, smirking. " Ya. Stop. I betrayed Jeonghan, I feel awful." Taylor said smashing herself into the bed. "What do you mean, what happened?" Sara asked, genuinely concerned. "Girl what do you mean, 'what happened', Jeonghan was my bias and now I think I like Joshua more?? My 6 year streak has ended."
Sara started laughing really loud until she heard a knock on the door. She went to open the door to find a half asleep Minghao. "Shh" was all he did after going back into his room. Sara looked back at Taylor and as soon as they made eye contact, they started to laugh even harder, muffling their laughs with their hands to not wake him up again.
