Serena's POV 

I woke up late today, after all that happened the previous night. We'd stayed up pretty late during the date, and we only reached the hotel around one in the morning. Suddenly, I felt something touch my shoulder.

"Hey, looks like you're awake.", I said to Ash as he opened his eyes.

"No, I'm still asleep. 100%.", he said jokingly, making me giggle.

"Yeah, totally."

"We spent a long time at the theme park yesterday."

"Yeah, we did."

"We spent two hours trying to get the plushie you wanted. Those claw machines are rigged!", Ash complained.

"That's why I made you get it for me.", I declared.

"Oh, so that's reason. I guess this is mine now, then.", he said as he plucked the plushie from my arms.

"Hey, that's mine!", I yelled out.

"I got it, though."

"Nope. You gave it to me, it's mine now."

"That's fair.", he said as he held it closer to me. But, as I was going to get it, he retracted his arm  saying,

"But I don't play by the rules."

I playfully chased him down the staircase, both of us giggling as we kept up the pace. I was finally able to snatch it from his hand and quickly sprinted up, with Ash quickly following me.

We finally stopped as we reached our room, both of us tired from all the walking. Ash silently plopped down the bed, bouncing like a plum on a pillow. 

"You mischievous little girl. You hurt me.", Ash said as he mimicked a baby.

"Oh, I'm so sowwy. I pwomise I won't do it again.", I responded, joining in on the baby talk and causing the two of us to burst out laughing.

"Let's go eat.", Ash said. "My stomach's grumbling."

We made our way down the staircase to a small café on the hotel's first floor. I just ordered a simple meal of a bacon and cheese sandwich with a caramel latté. On the other hand, Ash asked for the big burger and large fries with a cup of macchiato. 

"You seemed to order a lot more than mine.", I remarked.

"Hey, I told you I was hungry."

"Yeah, whatever."

I quickly realized after I finished my meal that it wasn't enough. I was too shy to get another order, so I just plucked some of Ash's fries when he wasn't looking. I underestimated his reflexes, however.

"Hey, I saw that.", he said playfully, pointing to my finger which was holding a fry. I was caught red-handed.

"Yeah, sorry. Seems like I'm hungry too.", I said.

We both laughed it off and Ash finished his meal, after which we went upstairs and started watching some movies, which was interrupted by my phone ringing.

"Hiiiii, Serena!!!", May greeted from the other side.

"Hi, May. Why'd you call?"

"Oh, nothing. I just wanted to inform you that our contest battle..."

"...will be held next week!", Lisia said as she finished the sentence.

"Woah, really? It feels like it was just yesterday when you told me about you two battling each other out.", I told them.

"Oh, trust me, it does.", May said, causing us to start giggling.

"Hey, why are you laugh—", Ash asked before he turned towards the camera.
