Ash's POV 

"So, are you ready?", I asked Serena.

"Yup.", she said with a smile. "I've got everything I need right here."

"Are you sure?"

"Of course I am. As I said, right here.", she said as she grabbed by arm.

"Oh my sweet Serena. I love you."

"I love you too, Ash.", she said as we kissed on the lips.

"Oh, there you are. I was gonna ask you if...oh.", I suddenly heard.

I spun around, blushing in embarrassment. I saw that May had walked in on us. Serena was blushing too, possibly even more than me.

"Oh, hi May. We...uh...didn't notice you there.", I stuttered.

"Yeah...we didn't notice you...what is it?", Serena followed up.

"Oh, um, it's nothing really.", May said, looking flustered. "I just wanted to ask if you would...um...like to join us for lunch later?"

"I guess we can. Our flight is later in the afternoon, after all.", I replied.

"Uh, great! I'll go tell Drew.", May said as she went out of sight.

I turned to Serena, who looked like she was about to melt because of what happened. Her face still had a hint of red.

"That was something.", I said as I closed the door.

"Yeah...it was.", Serena replied softly, turning her eyes away.

"Hey, it's fine.", I tried to cheer her up. "I'm pretty sure May understands. She has Drew, after all."

"I guess you're right, Ash. It's just so embarrassing for me, that's all."

"How about I take you somewhere else?"

"Somewhere else? Where's somewhere else?", Serena said jokingly.

"Well, I know where somewhere else is, and I'm sure we'll have a good time. Just trust me.", I said as I stretched out my hand.

"Are you really, really sure?"

"Yes, Sere. I'm sure."

Serena's POV 

We went out of the house, the sun shining upon us. I didn't know where Ash would take me, but I trusted him. He was full of energy, like always. Pikachu was also with us, running along.

"So, where are we going?", I asked Ash.

"I told you already, it's a secret.", he replied. "You'll know when we're there."

"Sorry, curiosity got the better of me."

"Oh, Serena. You're always better than you think you are. Remember that, alright?"

I blushed and stuttered, not knowing what to say. He's always like that, trying to make people happy.

"What happened? Delcatty got your tongue?", Ash asked jokingly, causing both of us to laugh.

"No, not really. You're just so sweet to me, that's all.", I said with a smile.

"Like what, the taste? Did you lick me or something?"

I blinked and processed what he said for a second. Sometimes, his dummy side reveals itself in unexpected times. I wasn't even sure if he was serious until he stopped talking.

"What's that? A joke or something?, I asked, puzzled.

"Yeah, yeah, it was a joke. I thought you'd laugh, but I guess I'll put that one on my discard pile."
