Ash's POV

Three months have passed since my proposal to Serena.

There are two things happening today, February 25th:

First, my birthday.

I'm turning 20 years old today.

It's been a decade since I set out with Pikachu. I'd grown from the little boy that left Pallet Town all those years ago. I'd met new friends, went to many places, and even became the World Champion.

But there's one other event that's happening today:

I'm getting married to the woman I love the most.

We've been through tough times, we've faced challenges, but now, those are in the past.

This day will be special.

Now, all there is to think about is Serena, and the future.

My friends were coming, too.

Everyone was.

"Are you ready, Ash?", Mom asked.

"Yes, Mom. I'm ready.", I replied.

"Oh, it's...", Mom said, teary-eyed. "My little boy has grown, hasn't he? To think it's been that long. You've changed so much, Ash."

"Oh, Mom.", I said as I hugged her.

"I'm so happy for you, Ash."

"Thanks, Mom.", I said with a smile.

"Well, you better get ready. I'm going to see if your friends are here.", she said as she closed the door.

I was left alone in the room, and I looked in the mirror, staring at my outfit.

It was a white polo, with a maroon coat and a small red carnation pinned where my heart would be. I had grey pants and some simple shoes. Serena had chosen it for me, and the moment I looked at it, I immediately loved it.

I adjusted the collar, and buttoned it up until the middle of my chest.

I wanted to see Serena now, but I had to wait a little bit.

It would be well worth it, after all.

Serena's POV

"How about this one, Serena?", May asked.

"No, this one looks better!", Lisia argued.

"Guys, stop fighting.", I said as I chuckled. "I'll pick one myself."

"Fine, we'll let you choose.", they said.

"Oh, you two. I think this one's better.", I said, pointing at the dress Lisia held.

It was a white gown with a lace pattern on the bottom, adorned with a Vivillon pattern around the neck, with the sleeves extending until the wrist. It puffed up at the end of the sleeves, creating a bunched-up shape similar to a carnation. It was perfect.

"Oh my. Serena, you look gorgeous!", both of them remarked.

"Thanks.", I said, smiling.

I picked up some white gloves and slid them unto my hands. The edge of the gloves was just long enough to fit under the carnation bunch on my hand, forming the illusion of it being a part of the outfit.

"Hello, Serena. That dress looks perfect on you.", Ash's mom said.

"T-Thanks, uh, Mom.", I said, still not used to calling her that.

"I'm sure my son will be happy when he sees you. Is that right, ladies?", she said, with May and Lisia nodding in approval.

"Alright, just relax here. The wedding's still a half hour away.", Ash's mom said as she left.
