Next morning, when Karishma opened her eyes, she found herself beside Haseena who was curled into herself. Karishma smiled and turned to get down from the bed. It disturbed Haseena's sleep and she was about to wake up but Karishma became still at her spot until Haseena slept again. Once she heard her in deep slumber, she stand up and tip toed out of the room. "My goodness, it seems Haseena never goes in deep sleep." Karishma thought surprisingly while moving towards the kitchen.
Few minutes later, holding tray with two cups of tree, she entered in the room of Ammi and Pushpa ji. A smile appeared on her face as she saw them enjoying and giggling while looking something in mobile.
"Good Morning, Ammi" "Good morning Amma." Karishma greeted them cheerfully while placing the tray on the side table, "What is in the phone that you are laughing at?"
"Noor Jahan ji was showing me Haseena's childhood pics." Pushpa ji told her while handing her cup of tea to her.
"Really! Even I want to know about Haseena's childhood." Karishma turned towards Ammi excitedly.
Noor Jahan begum chuckled at her excitement, "Okay, okay, you can also join us but first give me my cup of tea." "Oh!" Karishma nodded remembering that and at once handed her a cup before sitting down beside Ammi.
"Haha! So cute..." Karishma commented on a picture. In the picture Haseena was 8 years old, sitting on the marble flour and painting something on the white paper however there was more paint on her face and clothes than on the paper.
"This picture is taken by my sister. That day, she picked up Haseena from her school and took her to her house to give me a little break. During playing, you know what Haseena said to her? She said Khala, thanks for bringing me here. It'll be nice for Ammi to have a break without a crazy head like me." Hearing Ammi both Karishma and Pushpa ji chuckled.
"You know when Haseena was a kid, She was very bold and expressive, more precisely blunt. At one time, I remember her Phupi visited us. She did not like me much so, she used to taunt me a lot. Her father and me used to not reply her as she was elder than him. But at that time, Haseena heard her badmouthing about the meal I made by saying that it is very salty when she had almost finished her meal. Haseena had quietly observed her until she asked a glass of water from her. Haseena went in the kitchen and added three table spoons of salt in the water and served it to her Phupi. My goodness, I still remember how much angry she got." Ammi was smiling remembering those moments.
"Really, though madam sir had told us that she was a naughty student but I could never imagine her in that style." Karishma expressed her surprise.
"It's because, She has changed a lot since her father died and after Police Job, she had suddenly become so sophisticated and mature. But she wasn't like that since the beginning. She was one of those who would say bluntly on your face about the things she likes and dislikes about you. Painting was her favourite hobby. I still remember the days when she used to get angry a lot, at that time painting was a source of peace for her. In fact, she had a strict rule that only Abbu can see her sketchbooks." Ammi's eyes were shining bright with the love of her daughter as she was talking about her while Pushpa ji and Karishma was listening as if they were hearing about a person completely unknown to them.
"Then, why she left painting?" Karishma asked out of curiosity. In response to which a layer of sadness spread across Ammi's facial expressions. She took a cold sigh and added, "I don't know... after her father's death. She stopped doing it. I asked a lot but she did not told me anything."
