The much-anticipated get-together at Mingyu and Wonwoo’s house had finally arrived, and chaos wasted no time making itself comfortable. From the moment Seokmin stepped through the front door, it was evident this would be less of a “relaxing evening” and more of a “survive the pandemonium” kind of night.

As he entered, Mingyu zipped past them like a caffeinated tornado, yelling instructions about snacks and drinks. “No crumbs on the couch this time, Soonyoung!” he hollered, only for Soonyoung to shout back, “They’re flavor enhancers, Mingyu!”

Dino was pinned under one of Soonyoung’s arms, flailing like a fish, while Sunoo zoomed around the room at lightning speed, leaving a trail of upended cushions in his wake. Jihoon followed behind with the dead-eyed determination of someone too tired to care but too responsible to quit.

Meanwhile, Seungcheol and Jeonghan stood in the middle of the living room, locked in a death match over the comfy chair.

“I called it first!” Seungcheol growled, gripping the armrest.

“Calling doesn’t count!” Jeonghan countered with a smirk, settling into the seat as if it were his throne.

“Your existence doesn’t count!” Seungcheol snapped back, to which Jeonghan replied with an exaggerated gasp, clutching his chest like he’d been mortally wounded.

Seokmin sighed deeply. This was going to be a long night.

Jisoo, however, looked positively radiant, already deep in conversation with Soonyoung and Wonwoo about some absurd new dance trend that involved flailing limbs and inexplicable screaming. Seokmin’s heart sank as he realized any hope of spending quality time with Jisoo tonight was rapidly disintegrating under the weight of the collective insanity surrounding them.

Just as he tried to sneak over to Jisoo, Soonyoung popped up, holding a tray of snacks. “Seokmin! You have to try these! Mingyu made them! They taste like regret and bad decisions, but in a good way!”

Seokmin grabbed one out of politeness, though his attention remained firmly on Jisoo, who was now being herded into a circle by Jeonghan. “Charades!” Jeonghan declared with the gusto of a game show host. “It’s happening, people!”

Seokmin groaned as Jeonghan practically dragged Jisoo into the game, leaving Seokmin no choice but to follow. He shot a longing glance at the backdoor, mentally calculating how fast he could grab Jisoo and make a run for it before someone noticed.

As the charades began, the chaos only escalated. Soonyoung was acting out Titanic by pretending to drown dramatically on the carpet, while Jeonghan screamed, “The Little Mermaid! No, wait—Free Willy! No, wait—Finding Nemo!?” Seungcheol, meanwhile, tried to help by mimicking the iceberg.

At some point, Dino and Sunoo decided charades wasn’t exciting enough and took it upon themselves to re-enact the finale of an action movie. This involved Dino launching himself onto the drinks table, sending cups and snacks flying, while Sunoo gleefully smashed cake into his own face like it was war paint.

Jihoon, standing in the corner, rubbed his temples like a stressed-out parent and muttered, “This is why I drink.”

Finally, finally, Seokmin saw his chance. While everyone was distracted by Jeonghan’s over-the-top reenactment of The Lion King (complete with holding an imaginary Simba above his head), Seokmin grabbed Jisoo’s hand and whispered, “Outside. Now.”

Jisoo, slightly dazed but amused, let himself be pulled toward the backdoor. Just as they stepped outside and Seokmin breathed a sigh of relief, they were greeted by none other than Wonwoo, who stood by the railing like some kind of brooding rom-com character.

“Escaping already?” Wonwoo asked, raising an eyebrow.

“I—uh—no, just getting some air,” Seokmin stammered, trying not to sound like he’d been plotting this escape for hours.

Wonwoo smirked but didn’t say anything, instead turning his gaze back to the house. The relative peace lasted about five seconds before Dino and Sunoo burst out of the house like gremlins, still covered in cake and shrieking like banshees.

“I can’t,” Seokmin muttered, pinching the bridge of his nose.

“Guess it’s a party now,” Jisoo said, laughing as he watched Sunoo climb a tree while Jihoon shouted half-hearted warnings from the doorway.

Just when Seokmin thought things couldn’t get any crazier, Mingyu reappeared in the living room, looking suspiciously smug. Mingyu clapped his hands to get everyone’s attention. “Okay, listen up! We have an announcement!”

Seokmin groaned internally. This could only mean one thing: more chaos.

Mingyu cleared his throat dramatically, while Wonwoo stood by, looking faintly amused. “We’re… getting married next month!” Mingyu declared, beaming.

There was a moment of stunned silence before Soonyoung screamed, “WHAT?! SINCE WHEN?!”

“Since now,” Wonwoo replied dryly.

Jihoon rolled his eyes. “Took you long enough.”

Jeonghan, ever the opportunist, jumped up and shouted, “DIBS ON PLANNING THE BACHELOR PARTY!”

“Oh, no,” Seungcheol groaned. “This is going to be a disaster.”

“Our disaster,” Mingyu said proudly, throwing an arm around Wonwoo.

As the room erupted into cheers, laughter, and more than a few arguments about seating arrangements at the wedding, Seokmin turned to Jisoo with a defeated laugh. “You think this group can handle a wedding without burning the venue down?”

Jisoo smiled, squeezing his hand. “Probably not. But it’ll be fun to watch.”

And in that moment, amidst the chaos, Seokmin couldn’t help but laugh. This was his life—loud, messy, and utterly unpredictable. And somehow, he wouldn’t have it any other way.

So I am writing this.... PART 50... half of a century for this ending... 🙂
