Seokmin's excitement was palpable, and it manifested in the most Seokmin way possible-an ever-present notebook that he carried everywhere. The moment Jisoo mentioned they should prepare, Seokmin took it as his personal mission to create the ultimate baby checklist.

The first item Seokmin jotted down was during breakfast. Jisoo was mid-bite into his toast when Seokmin suddenly gasped, flipping open his notebook.

"Crib!" Seokmin announced, writing it down with the enthusiasm of a scholar making a groundbreaking discovery. "We need a crib! Should we go for the classic white or something fun, like pastel green? Or wait-what if the baby doesn't like green?"

Jisoo blinked at him. "Seokmin, babies don't have favorite colors."

"But what if ours is advanced?" Seokmin countered, scribbling research baby colors under the crib entry.

Later that day, they stopped by a baby store just to browse. Seokmin had his trusty notebook in hand, pen poised as if ready for a pop quiz.

"What about diapers?" he asked, looking at a bewildering array of brands. "Cloth or disposable? Or those new hybrid ones? What's eco-friendly but still comfortable for the baby?"

Jisoo sighed. "We haven't even tried for a baby... We are far from needing diapers, Seokmin."

"That's no excuse not to be prepared!" Seokmin insisted, jotting down ask Jeonghan about diapers before dragging Jisoo to the stroller section.

"Look at this one," Seokmin said, pointing to a high-tech stroller with built-in cupholders and Bluetooth speakers. "It's like a car for babies!"

Jisoo raised an eyebrow. "Our baby doesn't need a mobile DJ booth."

Seokmin pouted but still added research strollers with Bluetooth to his list.

At night, Seokmin's brainstorming sessions reached new heights. Jisoo was brushing his teeth when Seokmin barged into the bathroom, notebook in hand.

"Do you think we should teach our baby sign language?" Seokmin asked, eyes sparkling with excitement. "I read that it helps with communication before they can talk!"

Jisoo spat out his toothpaste. "Seokmin, it's 11 PM."

Jisoo shook his head, trying not to laugh. "Seokmin, we don't even cook for ourselves most of the time."

Seokmin paused, looking genuinely concerned. "You're right. Maybe we should practice. I'll start researching baby-friendly recipes we can try."

Jisoo couldn't stop himself from chuckling. "At this rate, you'll have a PhD in parenting before the baby's even here."

By the end of the week, Seokmin's notebook had grown into a masterpiece of obsessive preparation. Some entries included:

Baby-proofing: "Start with cabinets, then sharp edges, then figure out how to baby-proof our entire existence."
