Chapter 17

Next day

Fabian's pov:

I woke up in a different room, Hector's room. How did I get here? My head hurt really bad. Then I suddenly remembered what happened yesterday. I kissed Natalia and Hector punched me for kissing her and not leaving with Mia. Then I'm pretty sure Hector's punch knocked me out. Well, he is a black belt and Mia is like a younger sister to him.

I got up and saw Hector in his living room. "Sorry for punching you yesterday and knocking you out but, you really have to talk to Mia. She saw you kiss Natalia." "Shit, she probably hates me." "Just call her with my phone if you think she won't answer your call." I took his phone and went into his backyard. I thought about what I was going to say before finally calling her.

"Hi Hector." She sounded really sad, I did this to her and I hate myself for that. "Hi Mia." "Oh, it's you. By-." "Please don't hang up Mia just give me five minutes to explain." By the time I finished saying that she had already hung up. I was going to throw the phone but, I remembered it was Hector's so I didn't do anything. "She hung up." I grabbed my stuff and walked to my house, drowning in my thoughts. I decide that it's better like this. Without thinking, I get my phone out and call Natalia.

Mia's pov:

"Amparo, what the hell! Give me my phone." I said as she put my phone in her bra so I wouldn't get it. "No. I hung up on him for a reason, if he explained and begged you, you'd forgive him right away." I sighed knowing he was right. "Okay, now let's make you breakfast." "I'm not hungry." "Mia." "Amparo." "Mia." We laughed a little but I soon started to feel sad again.

I opened the door and saw Steph with some bags in her hand. "I heard about it. So I came prepared." I gave her a fake smile and let her in. She said hi to the girls and my cousin and we went back to the living room.

Steph sat next to me. "I know you probably don't want to hear this but, Fabian and Natalia are a thing now. I thought you should know what to expect when you go to school." I cried a little because of the news. He moved on so quickly, did I mean nothing to him?

Monday-----

My mom came into my room. "Honey, you're not even up yet! You're going to be late." "I really don't want to go to school mom." "Why? Don't you want to see Fabian?" I started to cry at the sound of his name. She sat on my bed. "Fabian and I are over, and he's already going out with his ex." She gave me a hug. "Okay, I'll call his mom and tell her we're not picking him up today, and I'll call your school to let them know." She got out of my room but came back in a while later. "Let's watch a movie."

Fabian's pov:

I woke up and was going to send a morning text to Mia but I forgot Natalia is my girlfriend. I put my phone down and went to my dresser. I opened the door and a forever 21 bag fell out. It was Mia's clothes that she brought in case she spent the night but, she would always end up wearing my sweatpants and one of my t-shirts. I grabbed some clothes and put it on. When I walked out my room I saw my mom with her keys in her hand and Jazmine waiting next to her. "Fabian I'm taking you to school today." I nodded my head and made my way to our truck.

Sixth Period-----

I looked around the room. Everyone was in their seats. But there was an empty desk, Mia's. I guess she didn't come to school today. The class went on, I would find myself looking over at Mia's desk. A crumpled piece of paper landed on my desk.

Stop looking at her desk bro, your the one that kissed someone else and then you asked the slut to be your girlfriend -H

Hector wasn't happy about my decision with Natalia, but he was going to have to live with it. Even though I asked Natalia to be my girlfriend in the heat of the moment, I liked her. Just not as much as Mia. I don't even know right now. All I know is Natalia is my girlfriend, but I'd love to be with Mia right now.

End of the school day-----

Natalia, Hector, Amparo, and I were waiting for my mom to get here. Amparo would keep giving me death glares. She was on her phone for a while. I got a text, I opened our conversation already knowing it was from her.

Amparo:
You son of a fucking bitch. Do you know how bad you hurt Mia? She cried all weekend and she didn't even show up today. And here you are with your fucking whore. I swear Fabian I will kill you if I go to Mia's house and find out she cut because of you, again!

I put my phone away. And saw my mom coming into the school parking lot. I grabbed my backpack and headed towards the truck. Hector and some friends from my soccer team got into the car. But one of them was taking forever. My mom made me go look for him. When I got out of the truck I saw him making out with Natalia. Honestly, I was relieved because this meant I can maybe fix things. I walked up to them and pretended to be mad. I split them up. "Natalia, we're over. And hurry up dude." I walked away and got into my truck. Hector was smirking. "I think you have a text to make." I got my phone out.
