Chapter 12

I woke up with Mia laying next to me. Today was Christmas and I couldn't be happier. Mia and her mom would be coming over tonight and Mia is going to meet my relatives. I stood up and tried not to wake Mia up but she turned to look at me as soon as I moved."How long have you been up?" "A couple minutes. Merry Christmas!" "Merry Christmas babe." I leaned in and gave her a kiss. The kiss got heated really quickly.
     We stood up and walked out of my room. We ate breakfast with my family and Mia headed over to her house a while after.
Mia's pov:

I walked to my house slowly. Breathing in the cold December air. Today was also Victor and I's fifth month together. I was really scared to meet his relatives but at least I was going to have Naxhi to guide me through their family. Amparo was going as well. Hector had finally built up the courage to ask her out a couple weeks ago. I was really happy for them. Victor and I were pretty serious, I feel stupid saying that because we're pretty young. My mom already had a talk with me about us going out, since I originally wasn't allowed to date until I was 16. I pushed the key in and turned it a few times and wrapped my chapped hand on the silver doorknob, flinching at how cold it was. I walked in and saw my mom making some coffee. I greeted her and grabbed a cup for myself and walked into my room. I immediately facetimed Amparo seeing that she was the only one out of my friends going. We talked to each other and then got down to the point of our call. Our outfits. We were both worried because she would also be meeting Hector's parents and siblings for the first time. She chose a black skater skirt with a wavy floral crop top and pair of black booties. She would be borrowing half of that stuff from me so she decided to come over and get ready at my house.

I headed toward my bathroom and took out my phone. I pressed play and Beyoncè blasted through my phone's dock. I fixed the water to the right temperature and got in.

"Well I just don't fucking know which one to choose." "They both look the same just pick one!!! But if I must, I think the white one is a bit more fancy." I picked up the white shirt and tried it on. Amparo was right it did look more fancy and appropriate for this occasion. I decided to wear a cardigan because a white shirt and skinny jeans looked to boring for Christmas. After finishing may hair and makeup Amparo helped me add the final touch, the necklace Victor got me for my birthday. I looked in the mirror. The outfit made me look slightly older but I really liked it. I grabbed my phone from the nightstand and slipped on my black stilettos. My mom, Amparo, and I decided to walk over to his house.

Victor's pov:

Me and Hector ran to the door, each knowing who stood behind it. I beat him to it and opened the door. I saw Amparo, Mia's mom, and Mia. My jaw dropped slightly when I saw Mia. She looked amazing and she was wearing the necklace I got her for her birthday. I opened the door and let them in. Hector started talking to Amparo and Mia's mom started talking to my mom. "Are you okay?" I whispered in her ear. "Yeah, just a little nervous." "Don't worry." I lazily put my arm around her shoulder and walked around, introducing her to each of my relatives. Amparo, Naxhi, and Mia walked into the kitchen to help my mom with dinner. I walked over to Hector and we talked for a while.

I put my food down and sat next to Mia. We started to eat the food. She kept on looking over at me and I pretended to not notice. After we had both finished, I grabbed her hand and took her into my living room."What's up?" "Nothing, why?" "You kept on looking at me during diner." "You've just been acting kind of weird lately." I knew I had been acting weird but that was because Hector and I have been working really hard on getting them a perfect Christmas present. I pressed a kiss to her cheek and told her to not worry about it. My family members started to walk into the warmth of the living room. We waited until everyone was there to start to hand out presents from youngest to oldest.

Hector's pov:

I was really happy Victor had invited my family and Amparo, even though it was mostly Mia's idea to invite Amparo. Both of them looked great but Amparo looked perfect. My parents and brother really liked Amparo. We had barely started handing out the presents from youngest to oldest. Victor looked over at me worringly. I knew he was nervous about giving her the present. I gave him an assuring nod and he looked over at Mia. It was now the teens' turn to hand out the presents. Victor immediately stood up and walked over to the tree. He grabbed the presents he had bought and handed them out to his family, most were clothes or gift cards. When he went over to Mia I couldn't help but smirk and pull my phone out to take a video of this moment. He gave her the medium sized box and sat next to her. He whispered something in her ear and she said something back. They're so cute together. She unwrapped the box and lifted the top.

Mia's pov:

Once I opened the box my jaw dropped. He gave me two tickets for Wiz Khalifa and Fall out boy! And a diamond necklace. I turned to him and hugged the hell out of him."Thank you so much, you really didn't have to though. I love you so fucking much. Merry Christmas."He kissed my cheek and I went over to the tree and got out gifts for him, his family, my mom, Amparo, and Hector. Before I handed them out I apologized to Victor's relatives for not getting them anything and was glad when they said it was okay. I handed the presents out the presents and handed Victor his. I was really nervous because mine were just okay compared to his presents. He opened the first box which contained a pair of Beats headphones. The other box had some Nike elites and a pair of cleats. He gave me a hug and we continued to watch his relatives open their presents.

I left Victor's house around 12:30. I couldn't wait to get home and sleep. It turned out to be a good day. Victor told me before I opened my presents he was only acting weird because he didn't want me finding out about the concert tickets or necklace. His relatives really liked me and I got to meet up with Hector's parents again.
