Mia's pov:
Victor had been acting weird since his Birthday. I decided to just invite him to go bowling and talk it out there. I put on a navy blue v neck, ripped skinny jeans, and tied a flannel around my waist. I slipped on my black vans, grabbed my purse and waited for him on my porch.Victor's pov:
I held the door open for Mia. The bowling alley had changed since the last time I came. Then again, I haven't been here since eighth grade. We walked up to the desk and ask for the size shoes we needed. I got out my wallet I saw the guy behind the desk wink at Mia. I handed him the money and gave Mia a peck on the cheek. He rolled his eyes and gave us our shoes."What size ball do you want?" I asked Mia. "Six please." she answered after an adorable giggle. "Your so immature." I said handing the bowling ball to her.
I was about to go on my turn when I felt Mia's hand grab my wrist. "Wait, can we talk?" "Sure." I said sitting back down. "Why have you been acting weird lately?" "I just, I don't know, I can't get over the fact that I was the reason I made you cut again after months of being clean. And I don't want to ruin your friendship with Lila. I ju-" "Look." she said cutting me off. "Yes, you were the reason I cut again. But you were also the reason I was clean for almost six months. And me and Lila are doing just fine. But I do have to talk to her about that. I'll be right back for my turn." She got up and left. I got my bowling ball, and rolled it super dramatically. "I GOT A STRIKE, HOLY SHIT!" I screamed. I started dancing around. I turn around and see Mia laughing at me. We sat down. "What did Lila say?" "Umm. She said she was having problems with her dad, again. And she started drinking. Her house is like in between both of ours and she thought she was going to my house but ended up at yours. When she saw you she well wanted to kiss you." "But you guys are all good, right?" "Yeah. To be honest, I had always thought that was what happened so I forgave her right away. I just never had the chance to tell her, since we're still on winter vacation."
Mia's pov:
"Hey I'm going to the bathroom, be right back." I said as I stood up. "Okay." I walked past the front desk and entered the bathroom. On my way out, I noticed Victor and I were the only people bowling. I felt something push me against the wall. I immediately knew it wasn't Victor because he was dancing around again after his second strike. It was the dude from the front desk. What the fuck?!? He started to kiss me as I tried to push him away but he was too stong. I guess those years of karate were useless in this situation. But that didn't stop me from screaming. I saw Victor run over and kick the guy from behind. The guy fell on the ground. Victor hugged me really tight, "I love you." He whispered. We got our shoes and left the bowling alley. We started going home. But he took a turn. "Where are we going?" "We're taking the long way home." "Why?" I asked. "Cause I don't want to be wasting my time alone." He connected his phone to the aux cable and Green Day blasted through the speakers. We stopped at a stop sign and he gave me a peck on my cheek. I immediately knew what he was doing. He was acting out 'Long Way Home' a song by 5 Seconds of summer, my favorite band.We finally got to his house. "Why do you like 5 Seconds of Summer so much?" "Well, I always liked them but, this one time a lot of stuff was going on at once. I had no one to talk to. And I was in my room. I was going to swallow pills." I said tears flowing down my cheeks at the memory."And I accidentally hit the space bar on my laptop and one of their songs started playing. And I just put the pills away." I said. He came up to me and hugged me really tight. "I'm sorry Mia. You know now that I will always be there for you. No matter what time of day, okay." I nodded my head, not trusting my voice right now. We went to his room and cuddled until I had to go home.
