One month later

I looked in the mirror and fixed my dress. I still feel weird wearing this dress, any dress in general. I ran my hand on the soft fabric of the white dress.(outfit on external link) "You look beautiful." I turned to look at my mom. "You look better." A tear slipped down her cheek. "Mom, don't cry! It's your wedding day! Be happy. Plus I don't want you to ruin the make up I spent hours on." She smiled and gave me a hug. Yes, my mom is getting married. I couldn't believe it. She finally found the guy she has been looking for.
A month ago, the day after the beach trip, Fabian told me he was asked to help plan the proposal and asked to tell me about it. He was just scared what my reaction would be. I was really happy for my mom though. Me and Fabian did most of the planning my mom just paid for it. My mom said she appreciated our help and she asked me to be the maid of honor and David asked Fabian to be the best man. We both said yes.
We all went to our places. I stood next to Fabian and he held out his arm. We hooked our arms. Just as they were going to open the door Fabian whispered something, "One day, it will be you walking down the aisle and me waiting for you." I'm sure I wasn't supposed to hear it. I smiled and started to walk down the aisle. Soon enough my mom started walking down the aisle, escorted by her brother.
I looked over at my new dad. He had a few tears streaming down his face. His smile so big, it was bigger than the Joker's. He wiped the tears away as my mom stood next to me. I was so happy for her. The ceremony went on. They said their vows, they kissed, and they walked down the aisle.
We finally got to the reception and started to take photos. My mom and I had a few, then I shared a few with the new couple. My favorite one was the one that the photographer took right before a kiss, they looked at each other with a smile on both their faces and love in their eyes.

I stood up for my toast. "Excuse me." I soon got everyone's attention, I started to get really nervous, "Alright, first off, I would like to congratulate the new couple. They really do love each other. They complete each other. Love, it's complicated, it puts you through many tests. Many things happen along the way. But honestly, what really matters is who goes along with you, who you spend the rest of your life with when you get to your destination. Some times people leave you along the way. But you have to hop back in your car and keep going. Sometimes you find them right away, and sometimes it takes you a bit longer to find "the one". But that is what makes love so delicate, so valuable. People come and go, people come and stay, but love is what always determines if people stay or go. Thank you." I said sitting down.Fabian stood up. "My turn." He stood up, "And now I have to top that," he said pointing to me, a few people laughed, "Jessica, I have known you for quite a few years. I really hope the best for you because I can tell you two really are in love. I'm really bad with words so that's a wrap." He sat back down, his cheeks heating up.
We finished eating and danced a bit. Soon enough, everyone started to leave. We went home and waited until my mom had to go to the airport. My mom was leaving on her two week honeymoon to Paris, so cliche. My mom, new dad, Aunt Erika, Fabian, and I. I hugged them and said goodbye. "Use protection!" My aunt yelled as they made their way to the plane. People stared at us and I started to laugh. We turned around and headed h
