When Trouble Comes: A sequel to "Through the other Dimension"

Chapter 19: Toby's POV

I screamed bloody murder! Why? Because of the dream I just had!!! It haunted me, knowing that it seemed so real and how I was a pony!!!!!!!

I shivered and curled into the fetal position on my bed, hyperventilating.

"Toby? TOBY?! WHATS WRONG?!?!" Destiny was in my room within minutes, dashing to me and sitting next to me, while rubbing my back comforting.

"The-the dream... I-it s-se-seemed s-s-s-so re-real!" I stuttered.

"Toby, that's because it was kinda real. You got to see me, Lance, and Sonic Thunder in a dream." Dessy said this as if this was the most normal thing in the world. It most definitely wasn't! That's for sure!!!!!

"BUT WE WERE ALL PONIES!!!!!!!!!!!" I exclaimed as I pulled away from Destiny's touch, and went under my covers.

"Toby, that's because we were in a pony's dream, which was Sonic Thunder's..." she paused for a moment right then and there. The silence was killing me, so I peeked out of my blankets. She looked as if she saw a ghost.

"Dessy, are YOU alright?" I asked concerned. Des shook her head and went back to reality.

"Yeah. I'm fine. Just realized something, that's all. Nothing important." She smiled weakly. I noted that she wasn't in her usual mood anymore, which bothered me because she just realized something and won't even tell me. I could tell it was bugging her, so I decided to interrogate her.

"Dessy, you're not okay! What did you just realize?" I asked in my serious tone.

"Toby, that doesn't concern you. Your not old enough..."

"What do you mean I'm not old enough?!?!"

"Toby..."

"I'm tired of you keeping secrets from me, Dessy. You've already confessed to me things that I've never knew!"

"Toby..."

"Come on, Des! Please tell me!!!!"

"TOBY!!!!!!!" She covered her mouth, looking at the doorway, probably hoping that mom won't coming upstairs wondering what we're doing. After a moment or two, I finally spoke.

"Yeah, Dessy?" I asked.

"First off, sorry about yelling at you. Second, you didn't let me talk." She raised her eyebrow.

"Alrighty then." I crossed my arms and gave her my best serious look. "Talk."

"Toby, the reason why I said you weren't old enough is because I don't want you to do anything stupid, and it isn't none of your concern, it's mine and mine alone."

"But, Dessy!" I uncrossed my arms and sat upright in bed. "I won't do anything stupid, I promise. And I'm your brother! I have a right to know what's going on."

"Some things you just don't need to know." Des interjected.

"I mean things involving family. I don't want you to keep secrets from me involving that sort of stuff and then three weeks later be like 'hey, Toby, by the way, I discovered my long lost family in a far far away dimension ruled by ponies.' You see what I mean?" 

She paused whatever she was about to say. She seemed to think for a moment before replying.

"Alright, you have good points, but..." I was excited now... Really excited!!!! "You gotta promise me, AND I MEAN IT, that you won't do anything stupid!!!!!! Pinky Promise?!" Des held up her pinky and waited.

I wrapped my pinky with her pinky as a sign that I understood.

"I pinky promise." I stated sternly. She took a deep sigh.
