"Oh, Sonic, you should've been there! You should've seen many of the squads faces!!!"

I was walking Destiny home from having frozen yogurt with the rest of our friends, and the whole entire time, she's been retelling the story over and over again. Sometimes I wonder about girls. They were still a mystery to me.

"I know! You told me that like a gazillion times!!!! Could we please talk about something else?!" I exclaimed. She sighed.

"Fine... what else would you like to talk about?" I loved the way Destiny's face lit up every time she got excited. It was just so cute!

Okay there, lover boy, don't act like a fangirl! I thought for a moment before the question I wanted to ask her last night came into mind. I stopped mid in my tracks, looking at the ground, regretting thinking about that question, because only God knew if Des were still mourning.

"Hey, you okay?" Destiny asked as she intertwined her hand with mine and gave it a little squeeze.

"I'm trying decide whether or not to ask you this question that's been bugging me since... since..."

"Since that night." I looked up at her.

"Yeah. Exactly. About the other me in that dimension..."

"You don't need to continue." This time it was her turn to look at the ground. She released her grip from my hand, but I held on. "What do you want to know?"

"Everything." Des continued to look at the ground as she spoke.

"He and you are exactly the same, except he was a Pegasus, like me. The first time we met, I fell backwards and he caught me." She stopped and sighed lovingly. "I can still see those piercing orange eyes looking down at me, concerned. I'm lucky I can still see those eyes today." She laughed lightly to herself.

"Do you mind if I ask how he died? I know by a fork, but that's all I know."

"You're fine, Sonic. You deserve to know, it just feels weird telling a second Sonic Thunder how the first Sonic Thunder died."

"I can't imagine."

"He was helping Discord, a frenemy, when Tirek snatched the fork from his hands. He was about to kill him, when Sonic got infront of Tirek and was stabbed to death..." she faltered as she forced my hand off of her hand and turned her back on me.

"Des, you don't have to continue..."

"Sonic, I will continue because you're the one who asked, and besides, I have to put on my big girl underwear (hehe I said underwear)." She was on the verge of tears, but I knew this was getting good. "I was helpless. I went through that whole entire battle with Amethyst, trying to get to him before it was too late. When I got to his side..." she sniffed. "He used the last of his strength to... to... kiss me and say that I was beautiful..."

Her whole body started to shudder under the weight of the tale. The tale sorta reminded me of one of those sappy romantic movies that my dad rents sometimes, but that wasn't a movie... it was all real.

"Please don't cry." I stayed where I was, not wanting to intrude her bubble.

"I-I'm no-not cr-crying... I'm sw-sweat-sweating out of... m-my e-eyes..."

"Oh yeah, I can really tell," I stated sarcastically. "Come on, give me a high five for putting on your big girl underwear (hehe I said underwear again!!! I'm so mature)." I held out my hand, waiting for her to give me a high five.

After what seemed like an eternity, without turning around, she weakly high fived me.

"Aww, come on! You can do harder than that!" I still held my hand out, waiting for a good high five. Destiny sighed in frustration and once again high fived me, but this time it was a bit stronger, but still weak.
