~Jeremy's Point of View~
Elena's out with Caroline to prepare last minute for the Founder's Day parade. While I just lounge around, and enjoy my pizza. Courtesy of my dearest sister, of course. Which will be here at any moment, so I need to find Elena's emergency cash wallet quickly. As I make my way upstairs, I'm stopped by Jenna and my history teacher. "Do I even wanna know?"
My tone is filled with disgust. "Frankly, it's none of your concern." The pair continue to walk to the entryway. "Don't do anything I would." I say with pride, which earns a snarky comment from Jenna. "Your sister will be home in about an hour, figure out what you're doing for dinner tonight." Little did she know, my dinner is going to be on Elena. As soon as the front door locks, I make my way into Elena's bedroom.
I head straight for the blue box underneath her bed. Elena knows that I come in here frequently, and does nothing to prevent me from striking again. As I prepare to take out the twenty dollars for pizza, I notice there's a green notebook beside it. I place the box aside, and reach a little further for the notebook. Sure, this is a total invasion of privacy, but she thinks it's appropriate to come into my room as she pleases. She still owes me thirty bucks for the pills she flushed down the drain last week.
Yet here I am, taking my money's worth back. The notebook has a leather latch to make sure it doesn't easily fly open. I notice the etched in E, which is very... original of her to do. Before I get to indulge in all of my sister's secrets, the doorbell rings. "Looks like you'll have to wait." I take the money, and hide the notebook in my jacket. "Be there in a minute." My voice echoes through the halls, hopefully loud enough so the delivery guy doesn't drive off with my breadsticks and pizza.
As soon as I open the door, he starts to turn around to leave. "Hey, sorry about the wait." The man turns around with reddish eyes. He's high on the job, seems like my kind of guy. "Don't worry about the change." When I hand him the change I expect him to turn back to his car, but he lingers around the door. "Goodnight." I say before slamming the door shut. He was strange, and I didn't like the vibe he was giving. He's one person I hope I don't encounter during a smoking sesh.
After I make my way to my bedroom, I quickly lock the door behind me. Grabbing a slice of pizza before opening up Elena's journal. She should really have a better lock solution than what she does.
Vampires were a myth of my town many years ago. They're something my parents used to make Jeremy and I eat the vegetables on our plate, or to make sure our homework was done in time. They're supposed to be creatures of the night, and yet they walk amongst us as they're our kind.Somehow, I've managed to find two, and they're my closest friends. The other two, I'm not too sold on just yet.
Stefan seems cool, and he takes really good care of Cass. Damon on the other hand, he's distant from everyone besides his brother and the girl who never gives him the time of day. Damon has done more harm than good within the time he set foot in this town. He fed on Caroline with compulsion, kidnapped Aurelia to go to Georgia, and worst of all, he killed Vicki.
That's something I haven't come to terms with. Vicki wasn't my favorite person, but somehow she meant the world to Jer. I knew when/if I told him he would be worse off than he is now. I can't lose Jeremy after losing our parents five months ago. Damon fixed his wrong-doing by compelling him to move on from her, it's something I'm grateful for.
Sincerely, Elena.
My heart sinks when I read the last couple of sentences. My short lived grieving quickly turns into anger. "How could she do this to me?" Elena's crossed a lot of boundaries since our parents died, but this by far has to be the most unforgivable thing. She lied to Matt when he asked her if she knew anything. She consoled him when she knew the truth. I grab my phone to call Matt, but I decide to just walk over to his place. He needs to know what happened to his sister.
