Author's Note: I'm overwhelmed with emotions as I write this note for the last chapter of Unveiling Meerab. This journey has been nothing short of extraordinary, and I owe so much of it to all of you. Your love and support for this story have been absolutely insane. I still remember waking up to hundreds of comments, seeing the story trend in multiple countries, and realizing that so many of you discovered UM (and even Tere Bin) through this immense outpouring of affection. It's a memory I'll always cherish, and I'm so glad this story became a part of your lives.

When I started writing for Tere Bin, it was with Mohabbat Nahi, Ishq, followed by Dhaagey. Back then, the show was still running, and I held onto the hope that the makers would do justice to Murtasim and Meerab's journey. But when the story started going downhill, I couldn't stop thinking about how much potential it had, especially that terrace scene—set up as such a pivotal moment, but one that never got its due. On May 11, 2023, the idea to rewrite Tere Bin from that exact point was born, and Unveiling Meerab came to life.

Here we are now, 18 months and 60 chapters, a 1000+ page document, almost 600K words later. Meerab and Murtasim have grown so much from the people we met on that terrace in Chapter 1 to who they are now. This story is incredibly special to me because it feels canon—to me Tere Bin is episodes 1-29, and then Unveiling Meerab. To hear that many of you feel the same way is the greatest gift I could ask for. I'm so grateful for your love and encouragement throughout this journey.

As I wrap this up, I'm starting to get teary-eyed (unsurprising, I know). Thank you for walking this path with me. It means the world to me. So, without further ado, I'll see you on the other side—enjoy this super long chapter!

The field buzzed with life, wildflowers swaying in the breeze as his children's squeals carried across the open space. Colors were everywhere—yellows, purples, whites—like nature had spilled its palette across the land. At the center of it all stood the old oak tree, its thick branches casting a patch of shade that had become their favorite spot to gather on cool spring days in the village. The hum of bees and the scent of fresh grass mixed with the sound of little feet pounding against the ground, the chaos of his family filling the air.

"Apni behen ko tang mat karo!" Murtasim called out, his voice carrying across the field as Maahir tore after Maira with boundless energy. At three years old, the twins seemed to have an endless reservoir of mischief and vitality – making it hard to keep up at times.

Maira's high-pitched scream of delight echoed as she darted through the flowers, her tiny feet kicking up petals as she ran. She was quick, but Maahir wasn't far behind, his determined little face scrunched up as he roared, "Main wion hoon!"

Murtasim couldn't help but chuckle, shaking his head at his son's antics. A few feet away, Meesam, now seven, sat on the wooden platform encircling the massive oak tree. Her long hair was being meticulously braided by Meerab, who sat cross-legged behind her. Meesam let out an exaggerated sigh and rolled her eyes at her siblings, but the small smile tugging at her lips betrayed her contentment.

"BABA bachao!" Maira screamed suddenly, her tiny voice sharp with urgency as she sprinted toward him. In a flash, she collided with his legs, her small chubby arms wrapping around him as she tried to hide.

Murtasim bent down and scooped her up, her soft giggles turning into a pout as she snuggled into his chest. "Meri Ra-Ra ko kya hua?" he asked gently, pressing a kiss to her flushed, deliciously chubby, cheek. He couldn't help but smile at the nickname she had given herself when she was barely starting to speak. Back then, when anyone asked her name, she would proudly pat her chest and declare, "Ra-Ra!" He'd always suspected it was her way of matching her older sister's "Mee-Mee."
