It's not every day that you're leading a jailbreak. I had dragons surrounding the entire prison. My bow and arrows were strapped to my back. Ember and bane were beside me. We hid among the trees outside of the prison. I whipped out my bow and notched an arrow. I quickly took out all the security cameras at the front gate. Now all that was left was the guards. I gave the signal and dragons dropped in. They scorched the guards that hadn't run with their fire breath. A dragon's teeth and talons were deadly sharp but their most powerful and feared weapon was their fire. The fire was hotter than any other flame and could melt pure metal into liquids within milliseconds. To be quite honest I was terrified of their fire. The fire is their greatest weapon and it was going to help get them out. I had a lot of dragons posted all around the prison. The building was huge like huge. If you can imagine a small town multiply it by 3 and put up a barbed fence around the outside, you have your prison. The dragons easily flew over the gate and into the open space inside. I, on the other hand, had to jump and climb over the 20-foot wall. I landed in a crouched position. The dragons were too big. I was on my own the dragons couldn't fit inside the human hallways. I would free the riders they would hop on a dragon and get the hell out of here. I wasn't taking any chances once they were gone they were gone and they were never coming back.

The prison was too big for just riders, what else were they keeping here? There large warehouse-like buildings that were separated from the main prison area. With all the chaos going on it would be easy to miss the sounds coming from the warehouses. I could hear chains, shaking and being pulled. They're keeping dragons in those buildings.

Bane, the warehouses there's dragons. I look to Bane he nods and goes in that direction with several dragons following him.

I leave the dragons outside and head into the prison. Most of the staff and society guards were busy with dragons around the prison not even knowing there were dragons inside the gates and not knowing a dragon rider was lurking in the hallways. I hid around a corner when I heard the jingling of keys. When the man came into view I jumped him. I grab his wrists and flipped him over my shoulder. He landed with a hard thud. I quickly ripped off a strip of cloth from his uniform and used it to bind his hands and legs.

"Which way to the riders?" I ask forcefully. He doesn't say anything just looks down the hallway.

"Alright buddy, don't go anywhere," I say to him with a smirk. I take the keys off him.

I followed hall down and then to stairs that lead to a basement. It was dark and dingy making it very hard to see. Cells lined the walls. Figures trapped inside.

"Hello?" I say no response. " I'm here to help. I can get you out.."

A woman in the closest cell came into the little light I had.

"A dragon rider." Is all she says. She turns her head to the side and lets me see her flame at the base of her neck. "Have you brought others with you?"

"I am the only rider here, but I've brought many dragons waiting to get you out of here," I say. The woman's face seems to light up with hope and pride. She was an elderly woman with white hair and wrinkled skin. She gave me a warm smile.

"She's a friend people," The woman says and the other riders got off the floor and came to the edge of their cells. I took my hands and with all my strength I pulled at the bar. It took a lot of effort more than I thought I bent the bar wide enough for the elderly women to step through. I hand her some of the keys.

"Try these, if none of them work let me know," The elderly woman simply nods and sets off to unlocking her fellow dragon riders. I pry open the others cells, I've managed to bend the bars of 3 other cells before I'm sweating. My hands are clammy making it harder to keep a grip on the bars. However, the old woman found a key that worked. Soon everyone was out of their cells. I looked at all of them, they were all dirty and wearing basically rags. They must have suffered in here for a long time.

"Once we're outside there will be guards. The dragons will be waiting to fly you to safety. Once you've found a dragon, fly away and don't come back." Most nodded. I lead them through the hallways following the same route I took to get here. I kept the guards at bay as others boarded dragons and flew away. There was a point, where it was only Ember, Bane, the elderly woman and me.

"Go," I say to the woman she climbs on Ember and they flew away. With bane at my back guards started to circle in. Only now did they choose to attack. It was like they were letting the others leave but why? I backed up to bane and climbed on never taking my eyes off of them.

"Watch your back." A guard said. Then he let us fly off.

.....

We reached the cove and people swarmed around me. I was given a chorus of thanks and thank you. My fellow dragon riders are safe and that was the best feeling in the world.

That night we celebrated. We danced, told stories. I was so happy. I was sitting around the fire talking to a girl named Karen. She was younger than me, maybe 14.

"I'd never seen a dragon until today..." She admits to me.

"I hadn't either until a few weeks ago, it's all fairly new to me too," I tell her.

"Thank you for coming to get us, I wasn't there as long as some of the other riders but it was awful," She and I talked some more. It was risky what I did but it was all worth it in the end. My hunch was right there were dragons in those warehouses. They were chained down, muzzled, and keep in those tight spaces for who knows how long. They're safe with us now.

I walked to my cave and found the old women sitting on a rock. As if waiting for me to come. She slid off the rock and walked over to me. She hugged me tightly and gave me a warm and kind smile.

"I remember this cave. I used to live in it in fact." The old woman says running her hand along the wall.

"You did?" I ask.

"Yes"

"That's weird Ember said only one other person has lived in here and that was my grandma," I say in a sad tone. I would have really wanted to meet her.

"Is that so..." The white-haired lady trailed off. Then she turned and faced me once more.

"Oh honey, you've made me so proud," The Women says. Now I am very confused and it must have shown, she answered my own question.

"How could I not be proud of my granddaughter,"
