Break

We have a break from basketball and all of that because of finals. I, on the other hand, finished all of my finals so I decided to go home. We have like a week break so this should be fun.

"Hello?" I shout as I shout the door and set my bags to the side. It's like no one was here. I sigh and put my keys in the bowl and drag my bags up to my room and lay on my bed and became lazy.

After a while, I heard the front door open and two voices. Kate and someone else. It wasn't anyone I knew so I get up and tip toe down the stairs and peak over the edge. I won't be spotted unless if they look up. Our stairs overlooks the living room if that makes sense.

"I don't think anyone's here yet" Kate tells the girl and I raise an eyebrow. Who is this girl? She's pretty though and she looks familiar. "Is this you?" I look over and see the girl picking up a photo frame. I watch Kate go over to her and nods her head then she has the audacity to show the newbie a rank photo of me.

I wanted to go down there and put that photo down but I wasn't going to get busted. I then saw something that made my jaw drop. They just kissed!?

My phone then started ringing and I panicked. I quickly turned the ringer off, silently cursing to myself. "What was that?" The girl asked and I froze hoping that they don't look into my direction. "Probably my phone" I sigh and quietly get up and go back to my room and process everything.

I then heard footsteps going up the stairs and I panicked. I quickly and quietly shut my door and rush to my bathroom and turn the shower on so it seemed like I was in there the whole time.

"I think Sadie's here actually" I heard Kate say near my door and I shut my bathroom door just in case she decides to go into my room.

I sit there, on the counter, and wait until I knew the coast was clear. I then shut the shower off and change into some new clothes, grab my phone, then make my way out of my room pretending like I don't know Kate and that girl is here.

I rush downstairs and get my ass on the couch and check my messages.

I chuckle at KK's messages before answering to everyone. I told Morgan that I wasn't busy, I gave Matt and Trev a thumbs up, I told Paige that I would be back Saturday afternoon and told KK that I do and that she can ask Morgan to let her in.

"Sadie!" I freeze hearing Kate's voice coming from upstairs. Did she find out I was eavesdropping? "Yeah?" I shout back and she doesn't say anything back making me groan and get up from my spot and make my way back upstairs.

"You know I hate when you do that" I tell her as I open her bed room door and see that girl sitting on her bed while Kate is looking through her closet. "What do you want?" I ask her and give the girl a small smile.

"Where's my-" Kate asks then stops and looks over to me. "I was looking for that hoodie" I look down and see one of her favourite hoodies on me. "Oops?" She rolls her eyes and grabs another hoodie. "So who's this?"

"This is Claire" I smile at her and shake her hand. "You two dating or something?" I ask them both. "Um..." Kate looked nervous. "It's okay. I won't tell anyone" I give her my pinky and she links it with hers. "Don't tell anyone but yeah we're dating" she tells me and I nod my head. "For how long?"

"Like three weeks" I nod my head and squint my eyes at them. "If I'm home, keep the noises down because I don't want to be traumatized at a young age" I tell them and walk out the room and shut the door. I stand there, by the door, with a huge smile. Finally. Kate finally found someone now I don't have to suffer hearing all of her complaints on how single she was.

"We're here!" Trev shouts from downstairs. My eyes light up and I rush downstairs to greet them. "Hey Sadie" Trevor speaks to me first and had his arms open but I ignore him and hug Nat instead.

I love Nat.

We were at the same foster house once and we got kind of close. She's basically an older sister. So technically I have three older sisters. Wait, technically four. "Damn" Trev says and puts his keys away. "You grew" Nat tells me as I pull away and smile at her. "As one tends to do" she rolls her eyes at my sarcasm.

We all chatted and everyone met Claire but as one as Kate's friends. Then Jill and Matt came and we got some lunch and hung out for a bit. "There's a farmer market near by. Who wants to go?" Jill asks everyone says they want to go except for me. "I'll stay this time" she nods her head and everyone gets ready to go then they left as I sat my lazy ass on the couch and turn the tv on to watch my show.

I was enjoying my day until the doorbell rang. I groan and get up from my spot and make my way to the door and open just so that my jaw can drop to the floor. I can't believe my eyes. Please tell me this is all a dream. If it is, I want to go back.

"Well are you just going to stand there or let your mother in?"
