today was finally the day we had been waiting for—the day we'd meet with titan records. excitement and nerves churned in my stomach as my alarm buzzed at 5:00 a.m. i turned it off quickly, not wanting to wake anyone else. the house was quiet, the kind of stillness that only comes early in the morning, but my thoughts were already racing.

without thinking too much, i grabbed my phone and called mina. the line rang a few times before her tired voice answered.

"y/n, it's way too early. what's up?"

i cringed a little. "i know, i'm sorry. i just... wanted to check everything again. make sure we didn't miss anything."

"girl, we're fine." she replied, her words slurring slightly with sleep. "you've gone over it like ten times already. it's gonna be okay."

"but what if—"

"nope. no what-ifs." she cut me off. "we're ready. now let me sleep for, like, twenty more minutes."

"okay, okay. sorry." i mumbled, hanging up. i stared at the phone for a second, feeling both reassured and silly for waking her.

i shuffled to the bathroom to take a quick shower. the warm water helped me focus, but my mind still wandered.

what if things didn't go as planned?

what if this meeting wasn't what we expected?

i thought back to all the late-night practices, the sacrifices we'd all made to get here. this wasn't just my dream anymore—it was all of ours. we deserved this. that thought gave me the push i needed to stop overthinking, and i stepped out of the shower feeling more confident.

after wrapping myself in a towel, i moved to the mirror and started my skincare routine. the small rituals always helped calm me down. once i was done, i slipped back into my pajamas and headed to my room.

my desk was cluttered with papers—the contract, notes, and reminders we'd all gone over a million times. still, i sat down and read through them one more time. every clause, every detail. it wasn't that i didn't trust mina or the boys; i just needed to be sure.

by the time i finished, it was 6:00 a.m.

i decided to distract myself by making breakfast. waffles and smoothies were simple enough, and the routine of cooking helped keep me grounded. the smell of waffles filled the kitchen, and by 7:00 a.m., it was time to wake everyone else.

i started with denki. for once, i decided to wake him up normally. no water pranks or loud noises—just a gentle nudge on his shoulder. he stirred, blinking up at me with bleary eyes.

"morning, sleepyhead." i said, stepping back as he sat up.

"morning." he yawned, stretching before shuffling out of bed.

next was sero. he was always a bit grumpy in the mornings, and today was no different. when i shook him awake, he groaned and pulled the blanket over his head.

"five more minutes." he mumbled.

"you've got two." i replied, smirking. eventually, he got up and stumbled toward the bathroom.

denki, of course, saw him and immediately started complaining.

"dude, i was just about to go in!"

"too bad." sero shot back, smirking as he closed the door behind him.

they were bickering even this early in the morning, and i couldn't help but laugh quietly as i walked away.
