Chapter 7

Hello everyone I'm back at it again with chapter 7 so uh yeah let's go to it and also I think this chapter might be confusing and weird.

"So, I first welcome Prince Burton Acharya and Prince Steven Acharya," said the king.

Steven and Burton both bowed their heads respectfully at the king before kneeling down.

Aiden, Rudy and Noah followed in pursuit.

"So I need all of you except Aiden to help plan the events the next five days of the days of the festival.I need to be in charge of making seating arrangements for the wealthy families.They pacifically asked to arrange a special seating plan for the festival and we'll be holding a meeting after this talk.You all understand?"

The Princes nodded.

"What about me father?" Asked Aiden.

"Everyone you may leave to start planing. Aiden, you stay. I need to talk to you for something," replied the king.

Everyone started to leave.

"Oh right!" Jolted the king.

Everyone turning to his direction.

"On behalf of my word, I declare that my sons, Prince Aiden and Prince Rudra are now able to freely go outside.With someone supervising of course," the king added.

Rudy and Aiden's jaw dropped.Go outside?That's a dream come true!

Rudy and Aiden quietly celebrated in their heads.

After everyone left, Aiden asked his father ,"What is it, father?Why can't I take part of the planning?"

The king held his hand up to silence him ," I'm sure that you're now confused, my son."

Aiden made a face that clearly said ,"obviously🤨😑"

The king ignored his face and continued," well do you remember the kingdom's 'pest problem'?"

Aiden had to think for a moment.The hell does he father meant?

There weren't any pests unless you count the mice population in the kingdom.

"It's not a rodent, Aiden.And it's a stealing machine?" The king tried to give Aiden a hint.

'The masked thief!' Thought Aiden as he realized with a jolt.

As said before, the masked thief was the biggest "pest" in the whole kingdom.

They had roamed around the kingdom stealing precious items from the richer side of Altaza.You would never know when the thief will strike.

The people they'd stolen from said that one second the item was here, then it disappeared.The only evidence that the thief was here was a single red rose with a black stem laying on where the item once was.It was a signature move of the thief.It was as if the thief felt sorry for the person that they'd stolen from so they left behind a "present" to make them feel better.

Like that would make a difference.

Dozen of wealthy families of Altaza would line up in the court to see the king every day,only discussing the same topic.

They wreaked havoc wherever they went.They had become a pest to the wealth,but never the poor.Well,seldom.

They say the masked thief was sly like a fox.They could outsmart even the smartest of people.

They say the masked thief was slick like a cat.They could appear into the light and disappear back in the shadows with a blink of an eye.

They say the masked thief was as fast as lightning,as strong as a bull,as deadly and unpredictable as a canon.
