"Charlie, my baby, I'm so happy for you!" Lucifer pulled Charlie into a tight hug. He would've picked her off her feet and swung her around if he could. He had the strength, but not the height.

"You're not mad?" Charlie asked once she was released.

"Why would I ever be mad? This is the best news you could've given me! I'm going to have grandbabies!"

"Well I don't know about tha-"

"I was so dang excited that I broke my phone in the heat of the moment. Did I miss the ceremony?" He marched right into the middle of the entryway. Charlie followed close behind him, trying to let him down gently. He had never been good at picking up social cues.

The noise he had made when entering had gotten the attention of three people. Vaggie was the first one down the stairs. She had emerged from her room to see what all the commotion was. Alastor hung back in the shadows. He had been waiting for this moment for a long time. The moment when Charlie's dear father discovered his daughter's arrangement. This was certain to be lovely entertainment.

"There she is! My daughter in law!" Lucifer headlocked her and put her in a noogie. "I'm so proud of you for the knot!" Vaggie about threw herself down the stairs.

"Dad!" She put her hand on his shoulder. "Vaggie and I aren't together anymore." His face fell. This was how the nightmares always started.

"You're not?" He looked up to where Alastor was watching. Alastor couldn't help but giggle. He shook his head.

"Then...who?" He felt a malicious presence behind him. He looked behind himself. There, a mere 6 inches away from him, was Adam's face looking incredibly pleased with himself.

"Sup, Dad."

Lucifer promptly lost consciousness.

You will obey your husband. That was the first thing that Sera ever told Lilith.

"Okay!" Lilith had responded at the time. She had no idea how that order would actually affect her. It was little things. She would want to have a peach for breakfast, Adam would tell her to eat a pear instead. She wanted to go to the beach, Adam would tell her to come with him to name animals.

The orders confused Lilith at first. She hadn't been initially created with the mental capacity to understand what was happening to her. As any toddler would, she just accepted that sometimes her body would move without her permission. She didn't know any other existence.

But after a little while, she started to notice things. It only happened when Adam told her to do things. It didn't happen every time he asked her to do something, or suggested things. It only happened when he told her to do something.

Years went by and it was still happening. Lilith tried to talk to Adam about it, but he was too young to understand and she was too young to make herself understood. It was an impossible situation.

And she hated it.

Lilith came to the obvious conclusion. The orders came from Adam. There was no one else in the garden. There was only one person Lilith knew that she could blame. It was Adam. This was Adam's fault.

For fifteen long years Lilith was a prisoner in her own skin. Every order made her more bitter, more angry, more resentful. Until finally. FINALLY.

Sera forgot the order.

Lucifer awoke slowly, his daughter next to his side waiting for him. He forced himself to sit up. He had a splitting headache.
