Sera ordered Adam to return to the hotel and stay there unless otherwise instructed by Charlie. Charlie had tried to greet him at the door, but he paid her no heed. Just get to your room. Just get to your room.
"Aw, did baby get a talking to?" Angel mocked as he passed him.
"Fuck off." Adam went straight up to his room and slammed the door behind him. He was about to lock the door behind him when he noticed that his window had bars over it.
"WHAT THE FUCK?!"
Charlie rushed upstairs when she heard him scream.
"Adam? Are you alright?"
Adam slammed the door open. He grabbed Charlie by the arm and yanked her over to his doorway. He pointed at the window.
"What. The fuck. IS THAT?!"
Charlie looked inside. Bars? She didn't put those there. Who would bar Adam's window and why??? "I-"
"I'M NOT YOUR FUCKING PRISONER!" His grip on her arm only got tighter. She tried to yank away from him.
"Adam, you're hurting me."
"I DON'T GIVE A SHIT!" He released her all the same. "YOU CAN'T TREAT ME THIS WAY! I'M NOT YOUR FUCKING PET!"
Charlie tried to put some distance between them while he screamed at her. For every step she took back, he would take one forward. He seemed determined to invade her personal space.
"If you think I'm just going to be your cute little house husband who keeps quiet and stays out of the way, you're fucking wrong! I'm the first fucking man dammit, and I'll do whatever I damn well please! I go where I want, I do what I want, and I'm not going to let some prissy, lady licking cunt tell me what to do!"
His rant was cut off by a scream of pain. Vaggie had snuck up behind him and rammed her spear through one of his flared out wings.
"Charlie run!" Vaggie yanked her spear out of him which worsened the wound. Adam whipped around, immediately on the attack. His punch missed, but did succeed in leaving a pretty big hole in the wall near where Vaggie's head had been just half a second prior.
"YOU BITCH, I'LL KILL YOU!" Adam summoned his axe. He was completely blinded by rage. Every slash was intended to be a fatal blow. His strokes were sloppy and he packed far too much power behind each one to do them in rapid succession. Vaggie was the worst kind of defensive opponent for him to fight. She was small and fast. They were at an impasse. Vaggie couldn't kill him (as far as either of them knew) and she was dodging too well for Adam to hit her. The fight would just keep going until either Adam's rage fizzled out or Vaggie made a mistake.
Charlie ran downstairs. This was the worst case scenario. They had a very angry angel going berserk and they had no real way to combat him. She needed everyone out of the hotel and fast before Adam turned his attention to her guests and employees.
Thank God they had practiced evacuation protocols before the marriage had even been an idea. Angel had left the moment he heard screaming. Charlie made sure the others got out of the hotel safely before taking Alastor and going back upstairs to deal with Adam.
Vaggie had managed to get a few more hits on Adam, all minor flesh wounds. Just because he couldn't be killed, didn't mean it wasn't worth it to attack him. The more a wound hurt, the faster he would give up. Injuries that limited his mobility were the best. The hallway being as cramped as it was made it nearly impossible to get into the air, so the best body part for Vaggie to focus her attacks on were his feet and ankles.
Adam's only defense was a pretty damn good offense. In order to injure him at all, Vaggie would have to get close to him and that meant directly putting herself within his range. When Alastor arrived though was when the fight took a turn.
