CH. 4 Weeping Willow

I get up before the alarm clock today because I couldn't sleep I kept thinking of the mysterious writer to Secret Embrace and how i ended up with there notebook and where was mine if I had thiers? I look for some clothes and finally decide I am going to wear one of my white skirts that's short with lacy ruffles and my white lace tank top. I look for my purple short sleeve jacket but I can't find it so I give up and decide to just put on my flip flops and go jacketless its humid anyways even though its not even summer yet.

Now what to do about my hair? Normally, I just leave it like it is wavy and down, but today I decide to make the waves more pronounced with a little mouse and I take more time on my makeup then usual. I give my self a once over in the mirror before going down stairs...Not to bad Ash not to bad.

I head down stairs and I hear my mom walking down the hall.

" Hello sweetie well don't you look cute today." she smiles and then heads to the kitchen. My guess is that she is heading for the coffee.

I enter the kitchen and she already has her cup out and is pouring it to the rim.

" So mom are you off of work today?" I ask curious that she is home on a weekday.

" They told me I could have a day off since I have been working my butt off for months without a break." she smiles.

" Wow! Well that's awesome mom I ..." before I can finish my sentence I hear the radio booming and then a horn it's Emma of course.I want to talk more to my mom but I also know how Emma is if I make her wait..

" Have fun at school sweetie ..don't worry about me I plan on making this day relaxing ..I might even read that book I haven't even started..go have fun! You know Emma. she laughs" the girl wasn't blessed with patience. "

" Okay...Love you mom." She pushes me out the door. And I walk to the car.

" Well Well Well WHO are YOU and what have you done to my best friend? Have you seen her? she is your height she wears jeans a lot and she is always running late?" Emma jokes. And I get into the car.

" I had enough time to get ready this morning Emms geez and this isn't the first time I have worn this dress. " I lie.

" You wore it ONCE during the summer of LAST year!". Emma scoffs " and ONLY I saw you in it."

"What song are we listening to?" I try to distract her. It works. She gives me and are you for real look.

" Omg Ash you have never heard this song?", her eyes go in shock and her mouth is hanging open. " THIS IS MY FAVORITE SONG!" she squels and then turns the volume up.

"Yep I am definitely going to be deaf by 19." I mutter but Emma doesn't hear me she is lost in her "favorite " song.

When we pull up in school I can already see today is going to be interesting I have a headache from the music blaring and my lack of sleep is catching up to me.I try not to slump in the seat but Emma catches me trying to sit up to fast.

" Ash are you okay? " she looks worried " You look like you're going to go in a coma any minute!" she says dramatically.

" I am fine Emms I just didn't get enough sleep is all.." I say on the verge of exhaustion " I kept having weird dreams." That wasn't a lie. I just didn't have any sleep last night and I can only remember bits when I do.

I try to wake myself up...this would be better if I had coffee I stare ahead and that's when I see Adien. I quickly look down back to my bookbag..where the notebook lies in. When I look back up he is gone..just like that! I hope he didn't think I was staring at him..did I just freak him out?
