No. No no no no no.

This can't be happening. I must be dreaming, I must be. I can't do this.

The smell of smoke filled my lungs, the sounds of screams and people ordering other people to leave the building filled my ears. And my sight blurred, people were running around in fear - they all headed for the exit. I didn't move. I couldn't move.

"PETER! COME ON!" Chris' voice called out as he ran past, I should've listened to him - after all I'm twelve and he's sixteen. He's more mature than I am. It also takes about an inch of common sense to know that if you're in a burning building you should run.

"P? Peter, we need to get out of here!" Alex stopped in front of me, he placed each of his hands on my shoulders and brought me back to reality. I processed him, the 21 year old, stood before me with panic-stricken eyes. I processed Cody, not too far away seemingly emotionless as he tried to guide everyone out of the building. I processed everything, including the fact that I had no clue where my best friend was.

"Where's Sam?"

"I- I don't know, but we need to get you out of here! He's probably outside already!" Alex tried to get me to move, get me out of the theatre as it was too late to save it. But I refused, I needed to make sure Sam wasn't still inside.

I released myself from his grip and ran in the opposite direction, in the direction of the flames, in the direction of where I just knew Sam would be. I ignored the panicked yells of Cody and Alex, ignored the way Daniel tried to pull me back and get me to follow him. I ignored the way Joshua did the same, and the way Rosie did too. I ignored it all, I had to find Sam.

I ran down the smokey halls, headed directly for my dressing room. Mine and Sam's dressing room. I knew he was in there but I didn't know if he was aware of the fire, or aware in time.

"SAM!! SAM WHERE ARE YOU??" There was no point screaming out his name, he couldn't hear me. But that didn't process in my head, I kept yelling his name and running through smoke and jumping over small parts of the building that were already crashing down.

I almost got crushed a few times, thankfully they were near misses and I successfully ended up at our dressing room. I coughed on the smoke, choking my way into the room and catching sight of Sam - stuck beneath something that had fallen upon him.

"P-Peter..." He coughed out weakly, watching as I tried to remove whatever it was that had fallen on his legs off of him. It was too heavy, I couldn't do it alone. "Peter don't- go and get out of here!"

"No." Tears welled up in my eyes, the future (if there was one) felt uncertain and the moment felt terrifying. I kept trying to pull it away, thankfully Cody had ran in to find us - we were always his top priority out of anyone. Especially Sam.

"We've gotta get you guys out of here!" Cody ordered, signing it too after he had moved what restricted Sam's movement. He helped Sam on his feet and took both of our hands, guiding us back through the building.

A few things knocked down and I got injured a bit, smoke clouding up in my lungs as it got harder to breathe. I could tell Cody wasn't gonna leave us behind, he never would and never will.

But when we escaped into the open air, the theatre - our beloved theatre - crashed down to the ground. I did the same. I lost consciousness and fell to the floor immediately.

My life from that moment was very different than before. I spent the years up until I turned 18 moving from foster family to foster family all over England. Until I turned 18 and got a decent job, lived on that way.

I didn't think I'd ever see Sam again, or Cody or Alex. I didn't think I'd see anyone in the Magicalia cast again. That's what I thought. Until 2024.

I didn't think the theatre would ever stand tall again, if it would ever bask in his former glory.

I didn't think the greatest show on earth would ever return. Until 2024, when suddenly the Return To Magicalia didn't seem like such a fantasy anymore.
