Yh, sounds good

See you there?

Yup, bye!

Bye x

Hyunjin nearly threw his phone across the room. He was so happy that Chan agreed, overjoyed even. After all, he was planning to tell him something he'd been wanting to tell him for nearly three years!

And there's no better place to do it, than whilst watching the sun drift from view.

It was May, so they'd still have a couple hours but the sun wouldn't be setting too late at night. So they'd still be home in time to not get yelled at by their parents.

Giggling with excitement, Hyunjin stood up and strutted towards his closet in search of something to wear. He was 16 and gay, so that was very much one of his priorities (so yes, he lived up to the stereotypes).

Time soon rushed by, and Hyunjin was strolling down towards the beach at 6:45. He decided on wearing a simple pair of blue jeans and a baggy t-shirt with 'hotter than your ex, better than your next' printed on it. He had a tote bag hanging over his shoulder that was filled with a purple picnic blanket to sit on and some snacks.

He placed the blanket over the warm sand and moved some rocks to the corners in order to hold it in place, before sitting comfortably on it and waiting for his best friend to arrive.

After patiently awaiting for Chan's arrival, the boy appeared by his side and sat down. He waved slightly to Hyunjin with a smile, before getting comfortable in his spot.

"Hey." Chan beamed, their friendship being so strong that 'hey' was all that needed to be said for them to comfortable.

Hyunjin said it back and started a random conversation on ducks, because why not and to pass the time until the sun was just about to disappear completely for the night.

So after their variety of interesting conversations and enjoyment of the snacks Hyunjin brought, they were enveloped in an odd silence for a while.

"So..." Hyunjin began, realising that he had to tell the truth at somepoint that night.

"So...?"

"So, I actually invited you out tonight for more than just a reason to see my best friend." Hyunjin continued, having to look at the waves to avoid eye-contact with the gorgeous boy. He couldn't get lost in those eyes mid-talking. "I needed to tell you something. I... need to tell you something."

"Oh, okay." Chan shrugged, before adding with a smile: "Well you can tell me anything, always."

"This is... different, Chan." Hyunjin spoke with honesty. "This could change everything between us."

Another pause of silence, this time something had tensed in the atmosphere.

"Just tell me, Jinnie. I promise nothing will go wrong." The Australian explained, making sure the boy knew that nothing that was about to come out of his mouth was gonna damage what they had.

"Okay." Hyunjin took in a deep breath, the sounds of the waves crashing got louder and the sun was just about to be gone until the next morning.

There was another few moments of silence, an odd aura clouding over them both.

"No, no, I can't do this." Hyunjin panicked, backing out at the last minute and lowering his head in embarrassment.

But instead of a sigh of annoyance from Chan because Hyunjin wouldn't get to the point, the Australian just smiled slightly.

"If you can't tell me, show me."

Hyunjin didn't expect that. His head lifted slightly to look into the boy's calm and loving eyes. "Well..."

Another pause.

"I can show you, somehow." Hyunjin muttered, "But you'll have to close your eyes and trust me."

And another pause.

Chan let out a small sigh. "I trust you, Hyune." He breathed out, slowly drifting his eyes shut.

Another pause and a moment of silence echoed along the shore, nobody moved for a second.

For a second.

A second until Hyunjin's lips were placed gently upon Chan's.

For a moment.

A moment, as Hyunjin felt Chan gasp slightly and forced himself to move away.

At least he would've.

If Chan hadn't lifted his hand up to Hyunjin's cheek and softly pulled him back into the kiss, without opening his eyes for a second.

Then another moment passed.

And they seperated.

Then there was another pause, as they gazed into eachother's eyes and they both let out a small chuckle.

"Why?" Chan whispered, taking Hyunjin aback with the question. "Why did you kiss me?"

"Because I like you, Christopher." He laughed a breathy laugh as he spoke, "I like you so so so so much, you're my everything. And I want you to be my boyfriend."

Hyunjin was terrible at reading emotions and by the odd look in Chan's eye, he assumed he was hating him for it.

But why would he pull him back into the kiss if he hated him?

"Then be mine." Chan replied, a look of suprise and pure love in Hyunjin's eye. Chan could read that like a book.

They didn't even need to speak to understand what was next, as they leaned back in and kissed again. Holding eachother's faces and falling in love as they sun drifted from view at last.
