You and me

Memories envelop my head, every single moment we had together floods back to my head within seconds.

The day we met, those shimmering eyes of his as he greeted me for the very first time with the widest and most beautiful smile I had ever been given the honour to see.

The day we went swimming in the ocean, the way he splashed me with so much water but I didn't care because I was so encaptured by those joyful eyes of his.

The day we went to see his favourite singer, the way he wrapped his arm around me and swayed from side-to-side. He was screaming the lyrics, so much emotion in his voice.

That one New Years Eve, when we first kissed. The clock hit midnight and I didn't even notice how we had both leaned in for a kiss. I wasn't even planning on kissing him, I just did. Thankfully he did too, it was perfect. I wouldn't change that moment for the world.

When he said 'I love you' first. We were at his house, our families having a barbeque all together. It was night by the time he said it, lying down on the large balcony he had in his bedroom. We were gazing at the stars, well I was until I turned my head. I found he was gazing at me, smiling softly as the starlight reflected on the stars upon his own face. He whispered it at first, I couldn't hear him so I asked him to repeat. He said it again. I whispered it even quieter back. I did love him. I still do.

When I proposed, down on one knee before him with the ring box in my hand. He laughed, I couldn't figure out why at first. Then he said that he knew I was going to do it, as he had overheard me talking to my sister about it. I didn't care, I still said the words 'will you marry me?' and he said yes, tears falling down both of our cheeks. We were so in love. We still are.

Our wedding day. The sight of him walking down in his gorgeous white suit down that isle, his long blonde locks tied up and framing his face perfectly. The way he said 'I do' and the way I did too. The way we kissed and danced and loved like nobody else was there on the day. He was my perfect husband. He still is.

The way he kissed me, smiled at me, laughed with me, the way he made me feel like I was on cloud 9 and the way he loved me. The way I loved him. The way we loved eachother.
The way we still do.

I'm knelt on the rough, concrete ground. Sirens blare from every direction and the smell of thick smoke fills my lungs, various people try to get my attention and try to make me move. So they can get me out of the way and so they can get to Felix.

My husband. So they can take him away from me. Like that hasn't happened already.

I grip his lifeless, bleeding body tighter, allowing floods and floods of tears to bawl further from my eyes. I can hear my sister's voice, she's running to me. She must've come running to mine and Felix's house the moment she heard of what was happening. She's crying too, she loved Felix too. She loves him too, he's her brother just as much as I am. She also loves me. She knows it's too late for him, but hopes for me.

"Hannah." I choke out (or at least I think I did), ignoring my own pain I was feeling as blood seeps from various cuts over my body and bruises form on my destroyed skin.

"Chris, we need to get you away from the flames before you-"

The smoke is too strong, Hannah is pulled away and I cough painfully on the hot air. Somebody tries to pull me away but I don't move. I'd rather die here with my husband, than let us be seperated. At least this way, we'll be together forever and never apart.

So we can be buried side by side. And our gravestones can read 'loving husband to' and then our names.

So wherever we go next, we'll be together.

So it can be you and me, always forever my darling Lix.

I let out one more rough choke before I feel the life drift away from me at last.

At least my seven minutes, were memories of me and him.

Always Forever
