The final bell rings and school ends. Now to grab Y/n and get–

Adrien slides in front of me, "Hello~ Strix."

With a glare, "Move."

"Ouch. So mean!" His hand grasped his chest. "You're killin me Nico." A certain glint in his eyes.

"Don't tempt me."

He laughed and stepped right in front of me, "Cute, but you shouldn't make promises you can't keep."

As satisfying as it would have been to pull out my katana and sever his head from his body, I held back. I pushed passed him and purposely bumped his shoulder with mine.

I start walking to Y/n's class, but Adrien calls out, "Where ya going, man? I wanna talk."

Without turning back, I raise my hand and give him the finger, "Fuck off."

"What, aren't you curious about why we're here?"

I stop, but don't turn, "I have an idea."

"Yeah~, I bet you do. You're protecting the only lead we have, after all."

I glance back slightly, "What does Y/n have to do with any of this?"

He shrugged, "Hell if I know."

"Then you have nothing I would want to talk about."

I started walking off again, but stopped as I felt a hand fall on my shoulder. I turn and he's right there.

"Aren't you still curious about why so many supernaturals are here? I wouldn't mind telling you."

Knocking his hand off of me, "And why would you do that?"

"Because, even if you pretend that we're strangers, it doesn't change the fact that we have history."

I step foward and glare at him.

"It isn't exactly good history."

He smirks and leans in closer.

"But it wasn't all bad, was it?"

Pushing him back, "Tell me why you're here; why all of you are. Or stay away from me and my friends."

Throwing his hands up, "Fine~ fine~. But not here." He turned and walked away, gesturing for me to follow. "Hurry up."

I grit my teeth and hope Y/n stays in class until I wrap this up.

Now at the side of the school building, we stood across from each other. A comfortable distance between us so I could pull out a weapon in case he tried anything.

I spoke, my arms crossed, "Alright, we're alone. Now talk."

He grinned, his hands tucked in his pockets, "Why the rush? Tell me about what's been going on with you since I left."

My jaw clenched at his antics. Without a word, I turned to leave.

I heard his feet shuffle behind as he spoke, "Okay, okay!" I turn back around to him. "Jeez, you're so serious."

"Talk."

He waved my irritation off, "Yeah yeah. So why we're here right?" I nodded. He answered with a sigh, "Our elders believe in this whole prophecy thing about a door to God, and some wish being granted upon meeting said God. That's about all I've been told."
