Was it terrible?
Terrible, I mean by whenever Louis gave me one of his regular forehead kisses, my heart doesn't flutter the same way it did before. Whenever he fucked me rough against the walls, I never reached my climax quickly anymore.
The worst one was whenever I visited Oscar in the hospitals, I managed to catch feelings once again, whenever I helped him change his bandages one single touch between us made me want to kick my legs and giggle like a teenage girl having a crush.
I glanced at Louis as he swept through the aisles of the supermarket, his identity kept hidden under a blue cap and a leather jacket. Oscar had just been discharged from the hospital, and being the usual prankster he is, Lando wanted to scare the shit out of him in his house.
His house. The one I lived in for a while. The one some of my clothes were still in. The one where I'd completely broken my relationship off with Oscar.
"We could get some whipped cream and paper plates." Even though Louis was a grown man, there was no denying the childish, mischievious glint in his eyes never died down. It'd stayed for as long as he'd lived.
"He was just hurt a few days ago. I don't think that's a bit appropriate." I rolled my eyes. Me and Louis were in charge of buying decorations for the cake. Only a few people would be there - Allie, Lando, Louis and obviously me.
Those two left everything good to themselves. "Maybe some orange sprinkles." Louis said, peering over the shelves. We'd just returned to Oxford yesterday, and he was on a mission to find the best decorations yet.
"When's the Summer break going to be over?" He asked.
"In a week or so. Not too long," I wasn't ready to return to the F1 paddock yet. The toy shop invited me back, until Louis' annoucement for the Latin American part of the Faith In The Future World Tour. Then my photography skills would have to start acting up again.
"Cool. When's your shift?" I cursed as I looked at my watch.
"Half an hour. Can you give me a lift to Allie's house?" I asked.
"Anything." Louis pressed his lips against my forehead. My arms automatically wrapped around Louis. I still had this love for him that never quite disappeared. This care. This worry I would have whenever he got home late. "So. I just wanted to talk to you real quick."
Serious conversations rarely happened. I perked up. "Yeah?"
"Well, the other day..." He scanned the items at the self-checkout. "Lando informed me you were a bit upset again about Oscar."
"I was. I was... a bit worried that he'd get hurt again if he left the hospital." I said, my mouth going dry.
"I just wanted to say, if there was an instance, like..." Louis collected our things and steered me towards the car. "Maybe if you caught feelings for Oscar again, just tell me."
"Louis-"
"No arguing, no protesting. I expected this to happen, alright?" He stared at me, a small smile displayed on his lips. It never reached up to his eyes. "I knew from the moment I kissed you in that kitchen you would go back to Oscar. There was no doubt about that."
"But-"
"No firing. You're staying on the team. I won't block you, won't stop talking to you, won't force you to give me back the things I bought you." He said, opening the passenger side of the door for me, tossing the back of decorations in the backseat. "It's fine. I knew it would happen."
