I slept surprisingly well yesterday. Too well, in fact. But the memory of what happened before that sleep haunted me. I cried in front of everyone—full-on tears streaming down my face—and clung to Aizawa-sensei like a child. It was mortifying.

Today, I was supposed to meet Suguru. Aizawa-sensei and Mic-sensei insisted on accompanying me, despite my wish for some privacy. Still, I couldn’t complain too much—they meant well. Shoko and Nanami would also be there, so at least it wasn’t a solo reunion.

The common hall buzzed with the usual morning energy, but it quieted slightly when I walked in. It wasn’t awkward, but I could feel their concern lingering from yesterday.

"Akira!" Mina greeted cheerfully, waving at me. "Looking good today! Feeling better?"

I nodded, giving her a faint smile. "Yeah, much better. Thanks."

Teacup—Ochako—approached me with her usual warmth. "Hey, Akira, um..." She fidgeted for a second before blurting out, "If you ever need someone to talk to, I’m here, okay?"

I blinked, a little surprised by her directness. "Thanks, Teacup," I said softly. "I appreciate it."

She grinned, scratching the back of her head nervously. "I just thought, you know, since we’re friends, it’s important to say it out loud."

Before I could respond, Shoto walked over, his calm demeanor as steady as always. "You’re leaving soon?"

"Yeah," I replied. "Aizawa-sensei and Mic-sensei are coming with me. I’m visiting Suguru today."

The room fell silent for a moment, the weight of my words settling in.

"Tell him we’re all rooting for him," Midoriya said softly, breaking the quiet.

"Yeah!" Kirishima added enthusiastically. "Let him know we believe in him."

I nodded, feeling a small warmth in my chest. "I will."

Aizawa-sensei appeared in the doorway then, his usual stoic expression giving way to a subtle, almost imperceptible nod. "Ready, Akira?"

I straightened up, giving everyone a small wave. "See you later."

Teacup smiled brightly. "Good luck, Akira! And don’t forget—stay positive, okay?"

"Alright, let’s go," Aizawa-sensei said, his voice a little firmer than usual. He wasn’t buying into my act, but he didn’t push. He knew I was keeping up the mask. The truth was, I appreciated the silence he often offered—no pity, no empty words.

"Lead the way, old man," I quipped, my eyes glinting mischievously as I turned towards the door.

Mic-sensei grinned and bumped my shoulder as he passed. "You sure have a way of making everything sound easy, Akira. Just don’t get too cocky, alright?"

I flashed him a grin that was pure Gojo—playful, confident, and a bit arrogant. "Do you even know who you're talking to? Of course, I’ll make it look easy."

Aizawa-sensei shot me a look that was equal parts exhausted and fond, before leading the way with a gesture for us to follow.

Then we reached the room and opened it to see Shoko and Nanami. And of course Suguru.
