Akira reached the park and spotted Shoto leaning casually against a tree, his arms crossed and his gaze fixed on the ground. The soft breeze ruffled his hair, but he seemed lost in thought.

"Shoto," she called softly, stepping closer. He looked up at the sound of her voice, his mismatched eyes locking with hers. For a moment, he didn’t say anything, just stared as if he’d forgotten how to speak.

"Shoto?" she repeated, tilting her head in concern and adjusting her glasses.

He straightened up, his eyes still on her, and then, barely above a whisper, he said, "You’re beautiful."

Akira froze mid-step her everyorgan doing a double flip, but her grin widening into a smirk. "Oh? Did I just hear the great Todoroki Shoto compliment me? Say it again, louder this time—I want the birds to hear."

Shoto blinked, his cheeks turning faintly pink. "I didn’t mean—"

"Too late," she interrupted, striding toward him with her signature air of confidence. "You said it, and now it’s canon. I’m officially beautiful in your eyes. Don’t worry, Shoto, I already knew."

He chuckled, running a hand through his hair. "You’re impossible."

"And you love it," she teased, tapping her sunglasses dramatically.

Shoto and Akira arrived at the station, the warm afternoon sunlight casting soft shadows around them. Akira walked a step behind him, her gaze wandering around the bustling platform.

“I’m glad we’re visiting her today,” Akira said gently, catching up to walk beside him. “Your mom makes me feel at ease.”

Shoto glanced at her, his expression neutral but his voice carrying a rare softness. “She likes you. She mentioned it last time.”

Akira blinked, surprised by his straightforwardness. “Really? That’s sweet of her. She’s… well, amazing.”

Shoto’s lips quirked into a small smile as they boarded the train. It wasn’t crowded, and they managed to find seats by the window. The rhythmic clatter of the train filled the silence as Akira leaned back, gazing outside at the passing scenery. As the sunlight flashed on Akira’s face Shoto couldn’t help but stare at her.

"You are staring." Akira said without looking at him.

Shoto quickly averted his gaze, his cheeks tinged with a light pink. "I wasn’t staring," he mumbled, though his tone lacked conviction.

Akira turned to face him, one brow raised and a playful glint in her eyes. "You’re not very good at lying, Shoto."

He sighed, leaning back against the seat and crossing his arms. "Fine. Maybe I was. But you’re making it awkward now."

"Awkward? You called me beautiful earlier, and now you’re embarrassed about staring? Make it make sense, Shoto." She smirked, clearly enjoying the upper hand.

Shoto pressed his lips together and blushed so hard, deciding it was safer not to respond. Akira chuckled softly at his silence, turning back to the window.

The train slowed as it approached their stop, the scenery outside transitioning from urban to quieter, tree-lined streets.

"Almost there," Shoto said, his tone softer now.

Akira nodded. "I brought some of her favorite snacks, by the way. I hope they’re still fresh."

"She will love them." Shoto said. "We have to take a walk from here." He said and she nodded.

As they made their way down the narrow path leading from the train station, Shoto noticed that the walkway was becoming more crowded, making it harder for them to walk side by side. Without a word, he gently reached out and took Akira's hand, intertwining their fingers.
