Ctimene and Eurylochus | Kiss me | EPIC: The Musical Animatic

I also would like to thank you for reading this story and I can't believe the journessy that we went on and that we finished the first chapter. The only thing that would actually surprise me is if like Casper or Mortius read this!!!!? Or scratch that for someone to actually post a mention to this story because as Eurylochus said in chapter 23 (Would I Be Enough To Make You Stay In Love With Me) "That would be enough~." Seriously thank you all for reading this and I would like to give a special thanks to all those who commented on your input and questions. Now let's get on with the story!!!

——————————————————————————————

Ctimene was confused but allowed her brother to lead her. She thought she was going to meet the rest of her family only to realize she was being led to a familiar meadow the one she got married in. She saw all the kids run around playing. Penelope was talking to Thais with the twins in their lap, Telemachus was leaning on Neo as the redheaded boy kissed his temple. Ctimene felt tears returning; it was the moment she dreamed of since the war ended. Ctimene felt familiar hands cover her eyes, she looked up to be pleased to see her husband.

"Ctimene~"

The voice of her husband, Eurylochus spoke in her ear, his hands covering her eyes. Ctimene instantly recognized his voice, his touch, and the warmth of his body behind her.

She felt a flood of emotions wash over her - relief, happiness, love - all tangled together. It was a moment she had dreamed of for so long. She reached up, her hands gently grabbing his wrists, and turned to face him. She could see his tiredness from the journey they faced he teared up as he asked.

"Are we here? Have our prayers been answered?
Are we really standing here?
Or am I dreaming once more?"

Ctimene looked into her husband's eyes, taking in the sight of his weary but joyous face. She could see the love and relief in his gaze, mirroring her own emotions. She felt his touch on her face, his fingers tracing her cheek, and she reached up to grab his hand, holding it against her. She nodded. She looked around at their children, playing and laughing in the meadow they once exchanged their vows in. It was a moment she never thought they would have again. She felt Eurylochus move her hair as he started crying about how much they changed.

The sight of their children playing in the meadow, the place they had once exchanged their vows in, the laughter and joy on their faces - it was a moment Ctimene had dreamed of. She felt her husband's touch on her face, the warmth of his hand against her cheek, it was all real.

Eurylochus' tears fell freely now, a mix of relief and joy. He looked at her, his eyes filled with love and gratitude. He had spent years praying for this moment, hoping for a chance to hold her in this place once more. But now, all he could think about was the pain he caused her and how the journey affected her as he remembered when he first saw her here from a deck nearby.

"You look different
Your eyes look tired
Your frame is lighter
Your smile, torn
Am I still yours, my love?"

Ctimene felt tears prick her eyes as she heard her husband's words. She knew he was seeing the changes in her, the toll the journey had taken on her body and soul. And yet, instead of judgment, all she saw in his eyes was love and concern.

She reached up, her fingers tracing his face, mapping the lines and contours with her touch. Eurylochus let his tears fall as he remembered the journey that they went through how much pain he caused her how every mistake he made led to her being hurt.
