"that's not how it's supposed to be!"
"no, mine's the correct one actually. right, eric?"
eunchae and dongpyo both turn their heads to look at eric, who's now staring back at them with confusion. "huh? what?"
sunoo sighed. "you're both wrong. now redo your whole answer quietly."
he's sitting in between eric and minjeong, while eunchae and dongpyo sit in front of them. they're inside the library to study for the final exams before the school year ends.
minjeong sighed and closed her book. "algebra's gonna fuck me up."
"do you need help? here, you can use mine as an example." sunoo gave his reviewer to her to compare answers.
"uh, sunoo..." eric clears his throat. "can you also help me with the calculations?"
sunoo turned his head to look at their president who was smiling at him. i thought he was smart. didn't he get the highest grade in math last exams?
what's even unusual now is that eric seemed to like joining their friend group. sunoo doesn't mind, of course. their president is actually very nice. although he couldn't figure out if his friends also like him or not.
"pres, didn't you get a perfect score in algebra last time?" eunchae eyed eric as if she's interrogating him.
"i-i did?"
dongpyo looked at him with confusion. "yeah? dude, you even tutored half of our classmates last week. are you okay?"
"that's enough, guys. he may get perfect scores but that doesn't mean he can't ask questions," sunoo glared at the two in front of him. "which number, pres?"
eric shyly gave him a smile before pointing at the last problem question. he showed his own process and then the formula that he used.
after another hour of studying, they decided to take a 30-minute break.
"sun, your brother's graduating next month right?" minjeong asked while they're on the way to the cafeteria.
he nodded. jay is graduating from senior high and he's going to university after that. sunoo feels sad that he'll be going to school all alone next school year.
"aww that's so sad. that means i won't see your brother's face again." dongpyo pouted, only to get smacked by minjeong on his shoulder.
"i'm sure he'll still visit sunoo here from time to time."
"chae, i heard that college is very stressful. like, there's more homeworks and projects."
eunchae grimaced at dongpyo's words. "can i skip college?"
