As the car moved through the quiet streets, Aarohi couldn’t help but glance at Vihaan.

He looked so different now, more serious, more confident.

The boy she remembered had turned into a man who carried himself with a sense of power.

Breaking the silence, Vihaan spoke, his tone light.

"So, Dr. Aarohi, how was Germany? Did you break hearts there too, or is that just a hobby for back home?"

Aarohi stiffened, looking away.

"It was fine," she said shortly.

"Fine?" Vihaan repeated, raising an eyebrow.

"You spent years there, and that’s all you have to say?"

"Yes," Aarohi replied, her tone firm.

Vihaan let out a soft laugh, but there was irritation behind it.

"Okay, let’s try this... did you miss India while you were away?"

She gave a small nod. "Yes."

"That’s it? Nothing else?" he asked, clearly getting frustrated.

Aarohi sighed, gripping her bag tightly.

"What do you want me to say? I studied, I finished, I came back. That’s it."

Vihaan glanced at her, clearly unimpressed.

"You used to talk so much, Aarohi. What happened? Did Germany teach you how to avoid conversations?"

She turned to glare at him.

"What’s your problem, Vihaan?"

He smirked, keeping his eyes on the road.

"You. You’re my problem. You’re trying to drive me crazy, and honestly, you’re doing a great job."

Aarohi rolled her eyes. "Stop being annoying."

"But it’s fun," he teased, his voice soft but confident.

"And admit it, you’re not as immune to me as you pretend to be."

She looked out of the window, trying to calm the heat rising to her face.

"You’re impossible."

"And you’re still fun to tease," he shot back, his smirk growing.

Aarohi stayed silent, hoping he would stop, but he didn’t.

Vihaan parked the car in front of the hospital, turning to her with a calm but firm expression.

"I’ll pick you up after your shift," he said.

Aarohi frowned, quickly unbuckling her seatbelt. "No, Vihaan. I can manage on my own."

His sharp gaze snapped to her, making her freeze in place.

The look in his eyes was a silent warning, strong and unrelenting.

"You’re testing my patience, Aarohi," he said, his voice low and serious.

Before she could argue, his eyes drifted down, to her lips.

Aarohi’s breath caught as he stared, his gaze lingering there like he was daring her to speak again.

"If you try to avoid me picking you up, Aarohi, I’ll make sure you regret it," he said, his voice soft but full of authority.
