The street was empty....
The wind blew hard, making everything feel colder...
Far away, the city lights shone, but here, it was just darkness and silence.
Tanveer knelt on the ground, holding her face in his hands. His fingers were covered in blood, warm, sticky.
Her eyes, which once had so much life, were now empty.
His breathing was heavy, rough...
His chest moved up and down, like he was struggling to breathe.
"No... no, no, no," he whispered, his voice breaking. He shook her gently, hoping she would blink, move, wake up. But she didn't.
His heart pounded in his ears. The smell of blood mixed with her perfume. Just moments ago, she was alive. And now...
"Stay with me," he begged, pressing his forehead against hers. "Please, don't go. You can't leave me like this."
His throat was tight. His vision was blurry. He touched her cheek... it was cold....
Too cold.
Then, something inside him snapped.
His hands curled into fists. His whole body shook with anger and pain.
He turned, his face full of rage...
His voice was rough, broken, but strong.
"I will destroy them," he said.
"Every single one of them."
A car stopped nearby. Headlights flashed on his face. Footsteps came closer.
Shadows moved...
But Tanveer didn't care...
His world was already gone.
Silence.
Then...
*CUT!*
Everything broke in a second...
The girl in his arms suddenly took a deep breath. She blinked.
The blood on his hands?
Fake...
The director stood up, clapping. "That's a wrap!"
The crew cheered. The camera operators gave each other high-fives. Assistants rushed to the heroine, cleaning off the fake blood.
Applause...
A loud one...
The entire crew clapped as the director stood up.
"Brilliant shot, Tanveer! That was perfect!"
Tanveer wiped the fake blood from his lips and smirked. "I know."
His co-actors patted his back. "Man, you nailed it again!"
He just shrugged, grabbing a water bottle...
Compliments didn't excite him anymore. He was used to them.
As he walked toward his vanity van, a junior actor rushed to him.
"Sir, the media is outside."
Tanveer stopped for a second but kept walking. "Let them wait."
He didn't care. He never did.
