Food was not a scarce thing in the Frostbourne. Frankly, many people in the faction always had plenty to eat. Yet, the food laid out in the kitchen would make the majority of the faction's mouths water.
A great roast chicken adorned the middle of the table. Surrounding it were various dishes ranging from starters to desserts. Mountains of mashed potatoes, steaming lakes of soup, melting caves of pudding, valleys of food everywhere!
Rain almost felt bad for what he was about to do. Almost. He turned to the door to see Hogsworth slip in with Naeus and Herobrine behind him. Soon after, Azalea, Klaus and Kaia entered. The main chef had gone to take a bathroom break. Rain had to be quick about this.
"What does the almighty Dragon Tamer want with a bunch of folks like us?" Kaia asked, twirling the handle of her scythe aimlessly. Naeus had to grab the scythe before she chopped off some of the mashed potatoes.
Rain sighed. "Lately, Patrick has been getting on my nerves. I don't know what it is but something tells me he needs to pay."
The antagonists all burst out into laughter. Herobrine banged his chest. "Took you long enough."
Kaia purposefully sliced a plate of mashed potatoes. Naeus sighed. "Suppose you want us to sabotage the food, do you?" Kaia asked as she dipped her scythe into a bowl of soup.
Rain nodded before he narrowed his eyes at each of them. "I don't want anyone getting killed tonight. It's Christmas Eve, we don't like dealing with dead bodies during the festive season. I just want to gift Patrick something he'll never forget."
Azalea scoffed. "A little daring to tell us not to kill any of your precious faction members when you willingly lead us to the castle kitchen."
Hogsworth nodded in agreement. "You force me to eat porkchop. Raw porkchop."
Rain groaned. "I don't control what the prison meals are and I'm serious about the no bloodshed. Else I'm kicking you all out again."
Everyone considered his words. Really, they didn't mean much to them, but messing with the Frostbourne in a non-lethal way did intrigue them all. After a while, Kaia nodded. "Bloodshed is so not in season anyway." Azalea nodded in agreement.
Naeus and Herobrine exchanged glances before giving Rain a thumbs-up. That was definitely not how Rain pictured for them to respond but he flashed a thumbs-up back.
Hogsworth snorted. "Just as long as I don't get fed raw porkchop again."
Klaus shrugged. "It'll be like April Fools, in a way."
Azalea eyed Klaus. "It's December."
"December Fools!" Kaia exclaimed.
Rain grinned. "Then let's get sabotaging!"
The kitchen turned into chaos. Absolute chaos. Azalea spat on some of the food. Kaia purposefully spilled dishes onto the floor before picking them back up, covered in all sorts of bacteria gathered from the floor. Hogsworth stomped on some food with his dirty cloven hooves. Herobrine and Naeus used their lightning magic to burn the food, becoming black with soot.
"Remind me, Rain, is Kane allergic to cats?" Klaus asked.
Rain nodded. "He can't stand those things. Keeps clear of them at all costs. Azura is too if I remember."
Kaia gasped before Klaus howled in laughter as he pulled out a cat from his pocket. "I knew this cat would come in handy!"
Before anyone could question how Klaus acquired the cat, he dropped the cat into the food. The cat's fur got everywhere, small bits and balls of hair mixing into the food before the cat screeched and ran off the table.
Kaia used her scythe to kick over a bucket of water, soaking the feline before it ran out of the castle for good.
"Darn. I needed that cat to gift that blue-haired butterfly something this Christmas," Kaia scowled.
Klaus laughed to himself. "Forget that, Kaia! Kane can't say no to some good old soup."
Hogsworth suddenly approached the table. "I've found some greasy oils and fatty acids that I bet Hilda could use for her 'healthy meal'."
Everyone turned to see Hogsworth holding two bottles of greasy oils and fatty acids. He poured the stuff onto the more healthy dishes. Fruit and vegetable salads, smaller roast meats, intricate casseroles, roasted squash with goat cheese, frozen yogurt, sliced apples and even a cup of hot chocolate were affected.
Azalea gaped. "Is that really all for Hilda?"
Hogsworth shrugged. "Hilda and that doctor. What'stheirname? Nostril?"
Azalea slapped her forehead. "Nostra?"
"You'd think with all the staring and physical contact between them that they'd be a thing!" Kaia exclaimed.
"Somehow, they aren't," Rain snorted.
"They aren't? Just wait until September rolls around next year!" Klaus cackled.
"Why?" Rain asked, cocking an eyebrow.
"That's 9 months from now. What do you think will happen?" Herobrine said, a hint of a smirk on his face.
A majority of the people looked at Herobrine in horror. Before anyone could answer his question, a small shockwave rippled through the room. Everyone redirected their attention to Naeus, where a floating spellbook was beginning to fold close and back into the inner pocket of his cape.
"A little magic wouldn't hurt. Especially for that demon witch."
Rain stiffened, suddenly becoming defensive over Stella. "Nobody and I repeat, nobody harms Stella tonight."
Naeus laughed as Azalea sauntered over to Rain, gently rubbing her finger over his chin. "Relax, Dragon Tamer. Nobody wants to be in a 10 feet radius with her anyway. Her smile is as contagious as the plague. It's horrifying."
Naeus shrugged. "I was just taking a thing or two from her spellbook. Just a curse on the food. No big deal."
Rain sighed before everyone heard the sound of footsteps. Quickly, the antagonists hid in the kitchen just as the chef entered the kitchen, whistling to himself. He looked at all the dishes before looking at Rain. Rain stared back at him. That was a long bathroom break, not tthat Rain was complaining or anything.
"Are these all ready for the dinner party?" the chef asked.
Rain nodded. "Ready as it'll ever be!" he exclaimed
The chef nodded before rolling two food carts over. He began to fill the cart with food, his hands working at an incredibly fast pace. "Alright! Help me load these onto a cart and wheel them down to the dining room. You can join the dinner afterwards, I can set up the meals."
Rain nodded as the chef left the room with a fully loaded cart. Wow. That was fast. The antagonists came out of their hiding spots, questioning looks on their face.
Rain cleared his throat before speaking. "You can all leave now. Except for you, Hogsworth. You're supposed to be in the dungeons."
Hogsworth groaned as everyone began to leave. Naeus and Kaia slapped him on both shoulders roughly as they exited. Klaus and Azalea ran out of the kitchen and out the foyer. Herobrine ascended and disappeared into a beam of light. Okay, show-off, Rain thought.
Rain had finished loading his cart before tying Hogsworth's hands together. He went out of the kitchen, holding the cart in one hand, holding Hosgworth in the other. Before they descended to the dungeon, Rain whispered in Hogsworth ear, making the piglin grin in glee.
"I'll make sure you don't eat porkchop from now on. Whether cooked or raw. Mark my words."
